Our History
Green Horizons is truly a labor of love for the entire family. After a 12 year career in the television new industry, J’s wife, Andrea, joined him full-time on the farm. And their young son, August, has been fortunate enough to learn the ropes of sod farming from birth, as he frequently shadows his parents throughout the work day.

Green Horizons Turf Farms is conveniently located just outside of Charles Town, WV. Within about an hour drive of Washington, DC and within 40 minutes of Hagerstown, MD, Frederick, MD and Winchester, VA. Green Horizons Turf Farms welcomes customers from the Charles Town area and beyond. (Please note that all orders are guaranteed cut fresh to order. Call in advance to schedule your sod order pick-up.)
