You know what would be nice? If they had a phone number that was easy to Find for the insured to ask questions but apparently that's too much too ask for because it's not on ANY of my paperwork and it's not online and when you call the physical location the number is disconnected. Really wish my employer would choose a company that is professional enough to have a contact number to answer questions because the website doesn't answer any of my questions. Extremely disappointed. Also they only cover 400 per year for a psychologist and that's pathetic. That's like 2 sessions.

Customer response time moves at a snail's pace. Quick to take your money, MIA when you need to use their services. They asked me to update my father's medical condition for his disability benefits, they took months and months and we essentially accomplished nothing. To be honest, their business practices are highly suspect and the company almost seems built to frustrate the customer. I was warned that dealing with them can be highly discouraging and they confirmed that. Stay away from this company if you can help it.

What happened? I was walking by the other day & I couldn't believe it he Investors Group has changed their name also. I worked there at I investor group when I was 28 . A DREAM Job for me until I was diagnosed with early stages of cancer. With a little girl to raise on my own & her abusive father taking away my power & strength I needed to care for her & nurture myself became next to impossible, I wanted so much more for her. At the time , her age & peer influences, I wasn't able to compete with him. I took my lawyers advise at the time. I look back with regret & such guilt. I would be died so she could live a good life.i went against my Christian morals & belief without realizing. I feel lost without her in my life.

Horrible service, even worse now with the Canada Life name. Tried calling 3 times and abandoned the calls after 40 minutes waiting. Email them and get a scripted we are soooo busy response over a week later. I am waiting weeks for them to process a simple eye exam claim. ABSOLUTELY USELESS. Poor souls that work there. My last company switched providers from GWL and I hope my new company does as well. Typical capitalists, more concerned about profits then providing jobs and quality service.

I submitted claims for 280$. They refused saying I filed to late. If they had an online system that worked they would have gotten the receipts. Wish HR would allow to chose who we want. They came up with this plastic cc to pay for remains amt needing to be paid for medications and it never works

I have spent the last 4 days trying to get someone one on the phone and after an hour and 3/4 they just dump your call and say call back again. you are the worst company to deal with. maybe you should focus on your customer and less on putting your name on a hockey rink. 0 stars

On hold waiting for an hour and a half. Once I finally got to someone they didn't know how to fix my account. Transfered me to someone else who also could not fix it and transfered me again. The third person could not fix it either and all they could do was file a ticket that will take an unknown number of days to resolve. These people have my life savings of RRSPs and I cannot access them because their system has a problem and it is obviously not a priority for them. Edit: Eventually got access to my rrsp account. Still don't have access to my workplace benefits online. I have been told it will be resolved within 10 days once and 2 days twice. A month after the last promise of 2 days it is still not resolved. They swore up and down it would be fixed this week today so I guess we will see if 4th time is the charm. A warning to anyone on the phone with them your "ticket" can sit over a month. 3 Months later this was NEVER resolved. Also every time I try to get my 2021 statement it errors out so I cannot file my taxes because of the absolute incompetency of everyone at this company.

The service is HORRIBLE. I only wanted to make a simple eye exam claim and I used the Canada life app but the app was down. I called the company and I waited 30mins for them to answer they couldn’t solve my problem they transferred me to a other department. It took a other 20mins for them to answer when they answered the person has a Indian accent and I could barely understand what she was saying. I wasn’t understanding what she was saying and I asked her to repeat some things and she was starting to show ATTITUDE towards me. The problem was still not fixed after that call. I called again an other day and waited 10mins they picked up, I called the IT department, that’s what the lady from before told me call. He asked me for my id, I read my card Id and he told me I had called the wrong department, he said that in a very aggressive voice and his voice sounded very lazy like he doesn’t like to call anyone. I called again and waited for a whole 50mins and nobody answered. I checked the open time and they were still open for a other 50mins. I left the call and I plan to call ONE more time. If things don’t improve I will contact my workplace and change my insurance company. Also when the lady called she said that my address was not the same. HOW COULD THAT BE! I have lived at my current address for MORE THEN 10 YEARS. Why does the company have to take 10 YEARS TO CHANGE AN ADDRESS. I was very angry when I heard that. I would definitely not recommend this Canada Life!
