Great Things in Store - Cochrane

Love this store! This is the ultimate store to go to when you need things for your children, especially little ones. Bonnie is great and her staff is always friendly! Reasonably priced product!

Used to come here all the time to buy used and new items as well as bringing in clothing for consignment. Service is acceptable. I think prices have gotten to high for used items...which you can find new on sale for similar prices. Many second hand stores have forgotten how to realistically price things partly because it'sbecome trendy now.

I actually do think this is a good store, I’ve spent a ton of money here on multiple occasions. April 15th @ 4:57 I was going to pop in and purchase another Kyte baby blanket. I was met at the open door by a staff member who stood in the entrance and turned me away saying “we close at 5:00 sorry” I was very disappointed as I was trying to support a local business.

The staff goes above and beyond. I have never been in a store that has such great selection of kids items. Very much worth the drive. Also, very clean store.

Overall a decent little shop. My one issue and a warning to others, if you do purchase an item and wish to return or exchange it, you will be required to have ALL tags. Even the small tiny price tags. I thought this was odd for a store that also sells used items, exactly the same category as item I purchased (rain suite for a toddler). I was refused even store credit on the sole basis that the item returned did not have the original price tag (I was told the reason is they require it for the item description? Its a rainsuite...). When purchased, this item was not in the original packaging (there were identical suites in other sizes in the original packages hence why I knew it was missing its original plastic bag) so I figured it wouldn't be an issue upon returning it a day later (unused completely and in the EXACT same condition as purchased). No refund, exchange or even store credit, on top of this I ensured to ask before purchase if I could return it if it did not fit and was told exact quote "of course! You can return for exchange or store credit if item is unused, no problem". Maybe this company should be making their employees aware of their very own policies because it was certainly a problem not even 24 hours later. EDIT: Despite the very poor response below by the owner, I was never provided the option for consignment, tags are rarely referred to in the retail industry as packaging and the receipt was VERY vague in it's language, I even asked for their return policy in person and was never told to keep the tags. Resell it? If I wanted to be in the business of selling items I would have asked their employment positions. I'm highly disappointed in the lack of accommodation, professionalism and accountability. I will be changing my review to 1 star.

Curbside pickup was fantastic! I looked on the Melissa and Doug website and Amazon to find what I wanted. Then sent them a Facebook message with screenshots of what I was looking for. They sent me back pictures of what they had. I picked it out, they gave me the total, I sent an e-transfer, and picked it all up outside ten minutes later. Fantastic experience and will do it again, rather than wait weeks or months for things to arrive from Amazon, etc. Prices were similar to Amazon give or take a few dollars, and I am so happy to support out local store! ??

Mind-blowing selection! Masks, newborn gear, unique and practical toys, diverse books, Muddy Buddy & similar, allll your bento box needs, AND consignment! I don’t even need anything and I have to stop when in town. Always stellar service from staff recommending the best product for your lifestyle. Great gift ideas of all size and price ranges.
