Great Canadian Pizza & Donair - Calgary

I got pizza and fried chicken. They said it would take 18 mins. It took a bit longer but they were very courteous. The pizza was really good! The fried chicken was pretty good. It needed a little more seasoning but the chick was fresh and delicious.

Always a great service with a variety of fresh food at fair prices. If ever in doubt, go here because they'll have something you'll enjoy

I used to order from here a lot more often, however the customer service and friendliness had diminished over time. Quality has never been top rated, but decent enough for the value. My last couple of orders have just confirmed the fact that whether or not the menu prices increase, the portion size has been reduced Significantly! My last few pizzas literally were half or less than the topping amount they used to use, especially when they use very cheap toppong quality to begin with. My last pizza which was 3 topping...which they used to put all 3 toppings on entire pizza, was now spread out in 1 single sporadic level using all 3 toppings! Some slices only had a part of 1 slice of meat, rather than piled with all 3 toppings. Today I had a Large donair, which has increased by $1 to $8.99 (which is reasonable as they haven't increased it in some time). But, just like the pizza, the portion size for meat has literally been cut in half, at least! I was floored when he cut off 3 or 4 puny slices from the donair spit, which was already down to bottom of the Barrell...then chopped it up on the grill a few times. When he went to put it on the wrap, it was even less than I thought it was. I even made a comment, remarking they have really cut down the amount of meat they put on. The guy looked at me and said "you said large, right?" I said Yeh, but there is at least half of what they used to give...nothing more said. I get it, costs go up, businesses have to raise prices once in awhile, BUT, don't raise the price Plus take half my portion size away! People aren't stupid...just the ones that keep letting places get away with it without complaining! Used to be a weekly customer on avg if not more , won't be returning unless in a pinch!

Our favorite place to order from as of late. Sometimes we get pizza, sometimes wings, sometimes donair. We almost always get poutine! The food has been stellar every time and the prices are a great value for what you get.

Early in the day we ordered pizza online to pick up at 4:45. When I arrived to pick up my order I was told it would be a few more minutes, which was fine. However, several Skip the Dishes drivers arrived to pick up their orders and those all went out immediately with no waiting. After twenty minutes of waiting I asked again and finally recieved my order. This experience was so frustrating, I will not be ordering from here again.

My partner and I came in this evening and the store front was busy They managed to take our order right away, we waited just over 10 minutes for our cheese pizza (to be expected, it's pizza) The manager approached us politely and offered us a drink for our patience. Awesome service. Plus the cheese bread is really good!

This is a little unfortunate because the pizza is quite good. More of a buyer beware, as you can see by the photo, when I placed the order, there was no delivery fee. When the driver delivered it, he told me he had no choice but to charge me but told me adamantly to call the store directly, it really sounded like this happens often. Called the store and after getting someone to understand what had happened, he did say I would be refunded and I've heard nothing. This is only $4 but became a principle since they haven't responded since. Read in the FAQ after he told me only to Copperfield and New Brighton was free. The following is right in their FAQ: We offer free delivery for orders more than $20.00. in the areas we serve. There will be a $4.00 delivery charge for orders less than $20.00. No mention of the communities they serve and only a charge for less than $20. So just be aware, no free delivery. You can see the store response, that is correct however I declined and said I would like the credit back to my card. I thought the 4th person I spoke to understood, I guess not.

Feb 25, 2022. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! save your Money! I go to this place alot before but now I just notice they became so stingy now with their meat and just puts so much lettuce. Picture below is JUMBO MIX DONAIR But it looks like regular now.. I am so Upset. I go to this place because I live close by (new brighton). I paid $13 for this. This is why I dont mind going far places like DEAGLA or SHAWARMA PALACE because they give alot. Unfortunately this happened again and I thought I would give them another try. Sorry never again. I really recommend for donairs and shawarma to go somewhere else like Deagla and Shawarma Palace, you get way more for the price!!
