★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nature reserve with easy hiking trails, great views, ample bird life and the best is the Blue Heron's nesting in the reserve.
The information center is welcoming with staff that are always helpful.
At the main building they have tables and bird feeders where you can sit and relax and watch the birds feed. All around the river you find benches, and there is also a lookout tower.

Friendly knowledge volunteer staff. I was told we may not see any Blue Herons because of the time of the year. He was correct. He also explained there has been a reduction of nests over the past year. The shop has several stuffed bird displays to look at along with items for sale. The cost of entry is your donation to the reserve.
Nice trails with benches along the way. You can sit and enjoy the surroundings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's our family tradition to come here. Great leisure walk, many educational opportunities for children, beautiful scenery and tons of birds to watch. Sad they are still close due to construction to repair damage from the recent flood.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is great for long or small hikes. Ample parking space. Great place for dogs walk; biking ?♀️ or/and horse riding. The trails are well marked. One could also do fly fishing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful, tranquil place for bird watching or nature walk. So many little paths to enjoy all year round. There's a bird feeding area with hummingbirds, juncos, chickadees, woodpeckers and more! In December I saw lots and lots of jumping salmon! It was really amazing to see.
