★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great rec site with an easy access, turn around boat launch. The lake is cool, but good for swimming on a warm day. We didn’t have much luck fishing, but we didn’t send too much time on the lake. Great for canoeing and there is lots of little bays and island to explore! Three decently maintained sites near the lake.
Make sure you take the Bobtail FSR route that is mentioned on the BC Rec Sites websites. It cuts off about an hour of drive time from Prince George (this route takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful lake if you're a kayak enthusiast. Eagles, otters, swans and loons were all making a show today. Fishing was not good however.
