Absolutely amazing board walk. Great view of the wetlands. Some areas of the boardwalk are a little tilted but it's still super solid. I am looking forward to coming back.

Poor wouldn't recommend going. the board walk is in poor shape and dosent feel safe anymore the longer walks/hikes are uncut unmaintained and no signs so you walk in the direction of the arrow and hope for the best.

First of all here is a lot and a lot of mosquitoes, especially on the part in the forest. We ran that trail despite we used a lot of bug spray. You can see very beautiful colourful big butterflies, but you can't enjoy their beauty because of mosquitoes. Boardwalk needs some repairs and telescope does not work. I can not say that it is the best marsh trail, unfortunately.

Great little hikes. Good lengths for the family. Many of the board walks were falling apart.

Boardwalk is ok, the Bittern loop is a boring slog, no views at all unless you like looking at six foot tall reeds. Saw a garter snake, a large fish skeleton and the real highlight a pile of poop with crayfish shells in it.

We took the Turtle trail which was marked in the online as well as the paper maps at the trail head. There were signs pointing in as well. After about a kilometre the trail was clearly no longer maintained though you could still see where others had pushed through. There is a pretty nice observation tower mid way through. At points there were plants covering what was left of the trail racing higher than our heads. After doing 2/3 of the trail (which follows the dikes) we found that the trail had been washed away and there was about 20-30m of waist deep water to cross. We thought we might have missed a crossing but looked all around, checked our gps and eventually another hiker came along and was in the same situation as us. After the crossing and another kilometer or so, the trail merged with another trail which was well maintained. After the hike we found that the Turtle trail on the large laminated map at the trail head was much shorter (no longer a loop) than in the other maps. We reported the discrepancy to parks Manitoba.

Lots of nice well maintained trails to walk. My wife and I and our two kids (7 & 9) stopped on our way home from from Hecla. We were expecting just your typical nature walk but it turned into an adventure with lots of frogs that kids enjoyed chasing and a few small garder snakes which the kids also enjoyed seeing. We ended up spending about an hour and a half here but easily could have spent a few more hours on the trails.

Picturesque views all around! Couple of trails to choose from. Boardwalk itself is good enough if you're feeling lazy?
