★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I arrived at 2:15 PM, the front of the hotel was locked, down the road was a tavern of the same name that was also locked. The sign said the tavern opened at 3:30 so I went to a nearby Chinese Canadian restaurant. After this I waited in my car until 3:30 and walked back to the tavern, the open light was on and I walked in.
It was dark inside, a middle aged east asian man stood behind a bar, he turned on the lights when he saw me, and the room went from dark to dim. He was confused to see me but eventually understood that I had reserved a room, he was nervous and showed me a room behind the building, before he closed a door I could see it was attached to the kitchen. I think he was advising that area instead of the hotel itself. He took me through the hotel and I could see why, there were three or four "ready" rooms, he took me through them and told me I could choose. I returned to the pattern and paid, then took a tour of the hotel. I found that most of the rooms had matresses and other devices/construction hardware stacked in them, there was a fridge that was powered off and gave off a strong smell. I returned to my room and tried plugging in my laptop adaptor cable, orange sparks and a loud noise shot out of the outlet and I prepared to leave. While walking to my car I heard a baby screaming, this hotel will easily be condemned if visited by any form of authority.
