C	Cathy Bates on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After combing every formal wear store in Newmarket and Barrie and finding nothing that was suitable unless you were either 16 or 70, I was told about Gown Go Round. I visited the store and right away found 3 dresses I would love to wear to my daughter's wedding. It was difficult to decide because I loved all of them. The gowns were beautiful and reasonably priced. The owner was very helpful and honest and did not pressure me in any way. This was an awesome experience and I would definitely recommend this store!

Gown Go Round has a wide selection of styles to choose from. Turns out the first dress I tried was the one I said yes to! Katherine the seamstress was very helpful and said I could alter the dress in any way I want. She was able to give me a great deal on the dress and a beautiful matching veil. Gown Go Round is cleaning it for me now and I will get the alterations done closer to my wedding. The other associate, Catherine, was also very helpful. They were both fun to work with, had lots of helpful tips and advice and did not pressure me at all. I especially liked ringing the bell when I found my dress. My only complaint is that none of the staff were wearing masks and this concerned me due to the fact we are still very much in the thick of the Covid-19 pandemic.

I have been searching for a prom dress at a lot of retail stores, but either they had nothing in my size or what they did have, it was plain or boring. At Gown Go Round, they have dresses in every style imaginable for incredibly affordable prices. The store clerk was always available to help and was more than happy to offer alterations or alternatives for any thing. She was also quite honest and gave a professional opinion about what styles would suit me. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. 11 out of 6, Amazing dress store!

Kat was awesome, so friendly and helpful. And....we found my perfect dress! So happy we came to Gown go Round! Thank you so much!

The lady was very attentive and helped my daughter pick out dresses in her size and budget. She was not wearing a mask but when asked she explained she is medically exempt. Not a big deal to me as mask mandates will be gone by the end of the month? Will be returning to buy my mother of the bride dress!!

I also appreciate that she has toys for those with young children- how awesome is that! When we arrived, the store was clean and very well kept. The racks were full of dresses with a variety of options to choose from. Thanks to Kat and her expertise, I found my perfect dress after only two changes! Before the appointment, I was pretty anxious as I battle with body negativity. Kat turned that right around, and when I left the shop I felt beautiful, confident, and so excited to wear the dress! I wouldn’t shop anywhere else for gowns now!
