★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to watch hockey. And i have two babies. They didn’t have a change table :( so I changed them on the floor in a stall. And their no seats. Like just chairs on the outside of the ice. Very small.

A little bit of happiness to counter the stresses of the work week and to provide creative stimulation to the senses.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the great harbours in the great lakes. An absolute must see. The town is small but thriving and my personal favorite on the Island. All the treasures of Manitoulin are off the main highway. Next time you're in weekend warrior mode and drive to Bridal Vail Falls in Kagawong, just travel 12 minutes further west and fall in love with Gore Bay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I promised to take my grandson skating last week; unfortunately, the posted arena schedule is incorrect and the Family Skate was over when we got there. Email form on town website does not work and my phone call went to voicemail. I'm hoping to have better luck today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brought my nephew and niece for free skating Sunday afternoon (2pm-4pm). If you don’t have skates they’ll help you find a free pair among the donated skates they have there. Although being an old arena (built 70 years ago) it’s really nice to have one in Gore Bay!
