Golden Tenders

I would suspect that most of these positive reviews are paid for or incentivized in some way because they swayed me enough to try this place out, but none of the reviews matched up with the experience. First, this place is way overpriced. The reviews lied to me several times by saying its worth the price. The fries are the exact same fries you get at any shawarma place (or highschool cafeteria). The tenders are small. Like absurdly so. They gave me 5 instead of 4 I guess to compensate for the size, but $20 for 4-5 tiny tenders, bad fries, and a pepsi, is highway robbery. A box of tenders is $30! Thirty dollars for several pieces of battered chicken. Small pieces. That is literally insane. The tenders tasted ok but nothing to rave about. And definitely not worth the price. Carrot cake was dry and weirdly bland. As someone who adores carrot cake, this was particularly offensive. Cream cheese frosting can mask most cake offenses but it wasn't able to save it in this case. All my food was cold but good news! The drink was at least warm. I have no idea why this place has so many good reviews or who is crazy enough to think these prices are fair. My worry is that this place is some kind of money laundering front. It would explain a lot, and make more sense than $20 for this nonsense. This rabbit hole gets even crazier the further you go down. Their website says their tenders are "healthy" because the ingredients are local and the tenders are hand-battered. Sorry but those claims and hi-res photos of chickens running free, don't make deep-fried food magically healthy. Do better. Unless it is actually a money laundering front, then keep doing exactly this (and sorry for spilling your secret if that is the case).

I randomly ordered from this place on skip one time just to try something new, not expecting anything special, and pretty much got addicted then and there. Hands down the best fries in Hamilton, and possibly the best I've ever had. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and super juicy inside(and goes great in the sandwich). This place is killing it on the texture game. The menu is pretty limited, but I kind of like that because everything on there is quality. The desserts are great, the potato wedges have this cool sort of chevron cut that gets you a higher proportion of crispy exterior, and there's a nice mix of dipping sauces with some really unique flavors. A few more soda selections beyond pepsi wouldn't hurt, but that's not a big deal considering how good everything is. If there were 2 items I'd like to see added to the menu, spicy battered tenders would be a great addition, and frankly with fries that good and being in Canada, it's bordering on a crime that they don't offer a poutine. C'mon GT, you got the fries, you got the gravy. Just order the cheese curds already.

Never had tenders like these before, so juicy and soft in the initial bite. Let's not forget about that Maple Chili either! Sad that Mary Brown's discontinued that sauce, it was one of my favorites and I'm glad that Golden Tenders has this in their menu! Very good stuff guys, looking forward to eating here again.

What great Chicken! Super moist and tender. I'm not sure why this place only has 12 reviews right now. This is the place to go for chicken! All chicken locally sourced. In store made batter. All packaging environmentally friendly; even wooden cutlery if you need it. No plastic except for the dipping sauce containers. We got the chicken tender box and it was fantastic! Highly recommend. Give it a try. Make sure to leave a positive review if you like it. This place deserves it. Quality food. Thanks for the great chicken!

I found this place randomly on Skip The Dishes and after reading the reviews (The Phoenix ?), I decided I must try it. I am so happy I did! The food here is amazing. All of it. Some of the best chicken and best fries I have ever had in my life. Fresh and perfectly cooked. You want this food in your life!

I never leave reviews for food, but these were literally the BEST chicken tenders and the best fries I’ve ever had. So crispy and perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back. Don’t sleep on this place! Service was amazing as well :)

Oh man, been eyeing this place up on skip the dishes for time now. Finally felt rich enough to spend $40 on getting 8 tenders delivered and I was seriously satisfied with the purchase. Hands down the best tenders or fried chicken for that matter I think I've ever had. The breading is one of a kind, the texture of the breading and the actual tenders is unmatched, and the lack of greasiness is surprising to say the least. Their house made maple chili and creamy poblano avocado dips were the two I tried and just as many stars for those in this review as well. Can't wait to order again with some of their fries.
