★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the shrimp fried rice and it is extremely good, almost as good as the one I had in Barrhead before. Portion sizes are fair compared to the price too. I'd say it's definitely more of the nicer places to dine in GP too. The fountain/bridge entrance is a nice touch to the restaurant's atmosphere too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Said open. New owners to lazy to place a sign on the door. Wally's restaurant is said to have taken over. But at 5 pm the doors are locked and no signs giving any information. This was just this past Friday

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could I'd give you 10 Stars and wrap them all around your heart one of the most amazing families I have ever known and for people that think there's a grumpy old woman working there I suggest you show your face Iggy cuz I don't appreciate people that got nothing nice to say unless you're a connoisseur of fine slow water which is about all you deserve don't go back there cuz they've been there forever and they Rock a loving family and appreciative friend always have been and always will be much love golden star ?????????????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Foods good, but I stopped going here after a grumpy old lady made a stink about our request not to sit directly adjacent to an occupied table. There was all of three tables being used in the whole restaurants, no need to stack us on top of each other!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely delicious even without the use of MSG and the serving was plentiful so make sure you’ve got spare rooms in your belly hey.. The waitress is very attentive and so polite. But the man in long sleeves (maybe the owner) was a little rude when asked about where the washroom is. But overall, we are still satisfied with what we ordered and how the service was served. Will definitely come back to try other stuffs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I remember going to Golden Star with my family in the 70's numerous times. I would have been about 8. All I ever wanted was the Chicken Fried Rice and to splash my hands in the pond. Sorry about that. I was 8!
It was always a pleasure to dine there. It was also one of the few places where my sister and I would not fight.
I hear that you are closing after many many years.
A true loss to GP. Over the years you have created fine Cuisine and fine lasting memories.
