I rented a car last week from Globe and got exceptional service from Mathiew Zackary Rodrigue at the Villeray branch. I really like renting from Globe - they treat customers well and the cars are new and clean.

Had a very difficult time getting a hold of managers or anyone responsible about a complaint. Was made promises by the clerk that could not be upheld. After calling and emailing on multiple occasions, I was told I had to come in person to resolve the issue when I was told I'd be contacted. Complete disconnect between the clerk's and management. Overall, a very unhelpful company if there are any complaints.

I reserved a 'Toyota Camry or similar FULL-SIZED' car with Globe and received a Hyundai Elantra. I didn't think a whole lot about this when I first picked up the car because I am not that familiar with Hyundai cars but later I realized that a Hyundai Elantra is classified as a 'compact car' whereas a Toyota Camry is classified as a 'mid-sized' car. I mentioned this when I dropped the car off and the person at the counter explained that the Hyundai Elantra is the same size as a Camry even if it is in a different class. This didn't make a whole lot of sense but I decided to drop the issue. Later, I went back to look at Globe's website and there is obviously a difference in the size because they offer 'Hyundai Elantra or similar' as a 'STANDARD' rental starting at $27.95/day and 'Toyota Camry or similar' as a 'FULL-SIZE' rental starting at $29.95/day. Why would they differentiate between the two cars/classes if they are the same size? We are only talking about a few dollars here but it is the principle of the matter. If I wanted a Hyundai Elantra I would have opted for the cheaper option to receive one. I didn't want that though, I wanted a full-size car and was willing to pay for it. I wrote an e-mail to Globe using the form on their website and never received a response.

Terrible service, didn't have the car I reserved, when I was unhappy, they offered a useless smaller car. When I refused, they said they can do nothing else and they were going to cancel the reservation. Took the smaller car, but never going back there EDIT: you are right, you don't deserve 1 star, you deserve 0 stars. You did AB-SO-LU-TE-LY nothing to satisfy me. Stop lying and trying to make the customers the bad guys.

Im editing my review because 1- i received a truck which was soooo dirty it was just crazy, it had stuff from the previous guy apparently and in the back there was dirt everywhere i had to broom before loading my things, customer service said "well idk we can't clean the back of the truck". 2- READ THE CONTRACT! First they gave it 3/4 full but it was showing on the contract they gave it to me full. I had to call to change it. Than at the end of the rental i gave them back 3/4 but next morning they said it was 9/16 of a tank?! The difference between 9/16 tank and 3/4 is 1/16 & they charged me 107$! For 1/16 of a tank! If 1/16 of a tank is 107$ a full tank for them is 1712$! 3- Most important is im wait on a 216$ refund that still didn't happen and 500$ hold on my credit card that they are releasing! They owe me 716$ that not even 107$ gaz they took from me!! My bank keep saying Global is the only one that can release it!

Worse expérience I have ever had renting a car. First I rented a car with Kenza who rented a car that wasn't actually available because he put the wrong time. Then, I had the horrible experience of "speaking" to Ahmed, who was completely uncomprehensible in either English or French. He was exceptionally rude, and ended up trying to charge me twice the price of the original rental. This place honestly seems like a bait and switch scam. Maybe not every customer but the ones they think they can get away with. Edit: the answer is fake concern, they never contacted me or did any form of investigation. In fact they charged my 200 dollars for a car I never rented! Scam artists!!

What deserve the one start at this point is that Globe Location is the merchant, stating the security hold of 300$ gets held of 3-4 days, upon bringing back the car, it should be unhold. I paid for it, and now in my bank account it still states held by merchant after 1 month and after 3 weeks as I rented twice. This means Globe Location is still holding 600$ in my account and will not release it. I tried contacting their support team, ended up having people calling me left and right telling me I was wrong, it was my bank. It isn't my bank it is the rental car merchant who is holding the money. Everyone kept telling me a different date for the release of the funds, that I was in the wrong. 1 month later, I still don't have access to my funds, 600$ HELD BY MERCHANT - I am highly disatisfied and this doesn't breed trust. I am done renting with them. I have to say on a good note, that the staff at the counter when renting the actual car were very nice.
