Gipman’s has grown from humble beginnings. What started as a small one-man shop in the heart of the Kootenays, Garold and Carole Gipman have evolved the company into one of the most unique and largest cabinetry manufacturing facilities in East and West Kootenays.
Today, they are a team of three with the help of their daughter, Nikki Van Boeyen leading the office and design teams. Nikki works with clients to develop their ideas and dreams into a gorgeous, functional kitchen and/or bathroom.
With a talented crew of local tradesmen, we have been an industry leader, constantly rising the bar in technology, equipment, design, manufacturing and quality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience with them has been a terrible financial ordeal. Awful customer service, good luck getting any help from them if you have an issue. Our 4 year old counters are falling apart in every part of the house and they will not take any responsibility for it. Buyer beware!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Buyer Beware! Our experience with this company has been stressful and very disappointing. They operate with very little integrity and will not repair or replace their defective products as soon as the one year warranty is up. Every countertop in our new home fell apart within 6 months of moving in. The owner sent staff out to look twice, both of those work people were baffled as to why that had happened and a few other trades people we consulted stated that too little glue was used. Long story short, the counters are garbage, the owner of Gipman is not legally obligated to fix or replace but should stand behind his product which in this case was VERY clearly defective. He hides behind a lie that this house had temperature fluctuations that caused it but we know for a fact that it was a show home until we bought it and as such was kept at a consistent temperature. Anyone who has looked at it can see that they did not apply the glue correctly. He could have had some integrity and helped us in some way to correct the problem at least at cost but instead over the last two years, he has made false promises, dodged phone calls and has been dishonest to both myself and the builder several times who was trying to help us get this sorted even though he has no obligation. I would not recommend Gipman Millwork to anyone I know who is building. He stuck us with an enormous cost of replacing every countertop in this house as a young , one income family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I contacted Gipman after having terrible luck with another company with losing my countertops. Nikki was amazing to deal with as she showed up to my house to measure up my countertops the following day. I also expected a week or two timeline and from the time I walked in the door of their office, to the time of installation of my countertops, it was literally 3 days. They are also the most reasonable priced as well. Thank you Nikki, I can now have a home cooked meal in my new kitchen!

The staff put up with my changes to both the colour and cabinet, accommodated my schedule, delivered the bathroom cabinet and installed it in a timely fashion. The cabinet looks amazing, I'll not hesitate to recommend their services and will use them again.

We also appreciated their “can do” attitude, friendly and attentive service, and flexibility. This is clearly a company that takes pride in their work! We would highly recommend them to others!

Their designer, Nikki is absolutely awesome to work with, and always makes time to answer my questions about "does this work with our design?" They do everything in house, from design, manufacturing, assembly, and installation. Nikki has put together designs for both our local office and our house which look absolutely awesome!! Garold's attention to detail and accurate initial site measure made sure that nothing was missed or overlooked. They are a great local company well worth working with for your kitchen and cabinetry needs!!!
