P	Prakash Ram on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Replaced sections of soffit that had blown away during a windstorm: A couple of sections of soffit under my second floor roof had blown away during a windstorm. I contacted several companies that specialize in eavestroughing, to replace the missing soffit. No one would take on the work, because most eavestroughing cos don't do soffit work! Some siding and roofing companies do, but they weren't interested because it was "too $ small a job". It was urgent for me because I was worried about rodents and birds coming to nest inside the attic. I emailed Gillespie, attaching a PDF containing photos. They responded the very next day with a professionally prepared quotation at a competitive price. They asked for 25% down to be able to book me into their work schedule. The work was done to my satisfaction two weeks later and I paid the balance electronically as well, via their website. Their front office staff are very professional and competent. The repairman came prepared with the right lift equipment to do the work and was fast. The only concern I have, was that I had asked him to inform me whether he saw any sign of vermin inside the attic (in which case, I might also need an exterminator). The repairman left w/o letting me know. However, the repair work has stood up for the past few months and I hear no noises in the attic. I would definitely use Gillespie again in the future. Communication was impeccable, being straightforward on the time frame and keeping me informed at all stage of the process until the work was completed. The handyman was professional and did a great job installing my ceiling fan and blinds. Gillespie was my fourth attempt to get a fair priced, professional handyman service company to do the work, what a relief to finally have found them :-)

From my first contact with the office staff they treated me well and were responsive and provided me with a timely, fair quote. They also responded to all of my questions in advance of the work. This was appreciated as I have sometimes found as a single women that other companies have not been as responsive to me or provide quotes that are obviously overpriced. My neighbours were also interested in having the same work done and Gillespie helped to coordinate the work schedule and payment. We were all very happy with the final result. I will be using them again for future jobs around my house. Thanks to all of the staff, especially the office ladies!

The company responded quickly to my email request and a date was set within one week of my initial contact (I had tried other companies, but they were booked up for weeks). The technician arrived as scheduled and immediately set to work assessing and then fixing the problem. He explained what he was doing and kept the workspace clean. He also was mindful of COVID protocols. Payment was easily done by credit card on the company website. I would not hesitate to call upon Gillespie Handyman Services again.

They were the fourth, and last, company I contacted because the previous three roofing/siding companies wanted an exorbitant amount of money. Gillespie quoted me a fair price and it was exactly the price I paid upon completion of the job. They accept e-transfer payment which was a bonus! On the day of my appointment it was -33C so Jade contacted me the day before and informed me that because of the extreme cold they'd be bumping my appointment to the next day, which was completely fine with me. Oscar completed the job and I stayed warm and toasty inside. I didn't even have to communicate with him which was great because I was working (from home). Not only was the job professionally done but the communication from this company was over and above anything I've experienced in probably the last 20 years!! And isn't that what we all really want! Amazing communication, every step of the way, a professional on time job and a fair price!!!! I cannot recommended Gillespie enough! They will be my go-to handyman service going forward. I'd give them a 10 star ? rating if it was possible!!!
