Get Movers Ottawa ON | Moving Company

Hello out there, This moving company sucks. If i can give a negative 0 i will. We hired them last February 12 and they are slow as turtle as they talked more than working . My husband and i even helped because we can’t afford to pay their own playing time. Booked at 9 arrived by 11. Paid by hours so they controlled their time. They damage our furnitures and when i contacted the office by phone, tex and email, no one responded and today i spoke to someone and hang up the phone on me. Very disrespectful, rude and un responsible company to work with. They just want your money, that’s it that’s all. They don’t care after get paid. I don’t recommend this company as their workers aren’t careful and aware. They send you either a young kid or elderly. It’s awful.

We hired Get Movers to move our heavy furniture and the two guys on the job did a great job! Naturally considerate, kind, good communicators, helpful, good energy, responsive and didn't act put out or negative towards my requests/instruction at all. I will be sure to recommend your company, and these capable young men for future moving needs. Thanks to your entire team.

Nice friendly guys! All 3 did an excellent job. They took extra care with my valuable pieces. They wrapped & padded everything as needed, and were very courteous & efficient. No sitting around, no dragging out the easier stuff, no complaining. Nothing but professionalism all day. ?They made me feel extremely comfortable and taken care of. We will definitely call Get movers again.

Last weekend I moved from a two bedroom apartment to a townhouse. I spoke ahead of time to the sales rep, asked questions and the pricing, as there are stairs an requested a quote sent by email, not just over the phone so I could have all the info. Two days before they called and confirmed what furniture we had and the stairs again. The quote was for $525 for 3 hours. The movers arrived just over an hour late, they immediately complained about the one flight of stairs and said "it'll cost more". I informed them I had already told the company and there were more stairs at the townhouse. They seemed to get tired before the loading was done. I was helping bringing boxes out of the apartment and to the top of the stairway. They took a 30 minute lunch break and then drove the 10 min to the new place. They were really upset about all the stairs and said that GetMovers should have booked 3 movers, not 2 and that they screw them over just to make a sale. I had empathy and suggested they bring everything to the main floor and I brought it up to the next floor with the bedrooms. One of them was struggling very bad and had to stop quite a bit. They got sloppy, throwing things and dragging boxes. They ended up breaking my TV, some of my glasses and caused minor damages to our new place, like scratches on the floor and breaking a light switch. The move took about 5.5 hours. They calculated the new total with fees for extra time and stairs which was just under $1200 (my deposit included). They asked me to write my credit card on a piece of paper for them to charge it later. I refused, as this is not safe or proper storage of their customers information (honestly illegal) and said I would pay on the phone, like I had my deposit. They didn't acknowledge the broken TV or offer anything even though we showed them. And they would not leave until they knew the full payment was made. It was very uncomfortable and awkward. I wanted to be able to talk to someone about what happened, but I had these two very tired men in my livingroom telling me they won't leave till I pay, despite the company already having my credit card info. So I paid. I have emailed 3 times with photos asking to be called , no answer. Called, no answer. So here I am. I knew the move would cost more than originally quoted but double is crazy, plus my broken 55 inch TV. It was the worst experience moving I've ever had. I had to help, pay double, be uncomfortable in my new home and get left with broken belongings and no accountability from GetMovers.

A big thumbs up for these movers. We had a two part move. We needed a company to come pack everything and put everything into storage and then deliver all our furniture two months later. They are the fastest company that got back to me with a moving estimate that was well below others that I got from other companies. Would use them again.

This is a great company! They were able to accommodate our unique needs when we had to move out of one home, store items overnight at their facility then move into new home the next day. They wrapped all of our items to keep them safe and protected during the transport, and even disassembled our bed and put it back together for us! Overall it went very well and teams were doing a good job! Thanks again helping us in this move. Highly recommend getmovers!!

Moving is usually a cause for anxiety and something most people dread… Not anymore! Thanks to David and his associate, who were professional, courteous and very fast!! They moved quickly while very carefully moving our furniture and personal belongings. The move was completed faster than expected and everything was intact. I was extremely satisfied with the service they provided and would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Great guys. Had manners and so nice. They moved all of the items from our 2 bedroom townhouse without incident or breakage. Really good prices, fast working movers, would use again. Thxs guys great job.
