Very friendly staff who seem helpful but they cheap out on things like wall studs! which makes hanging anything from your wall like big screen tv extremely difficult/risky. They also took things like shower curtains and toilet paper before i moved in which was a first for me. Those things have always been left behind in any of the other homes i have bought or sold. (It doesnt get any cheaper than taking the roll of tp from the roller!) I think they should also do the environment a favour and abandon incandescent lightbulbs since stores aren't allowed to purchase them to sell anymore....and its common knowledge how much more hydro they use in comparison to led alternatives. Hydro consumption and landfill buildup are clearly of no concern.

From our first meeting to discuss options to receiving our keys, the professional and friendly staff worked hard to build our dream home. Even with our short timeline, they were willing to accommodate us and every thing was finished to the highest quality.
1	1916casey on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I purchased a home that was custom built by Geertsma homes in 2016 for my young family. I was hoping for a good experience and it seemed so until my first year inspection. The service man came and we made a list of deficiencies needed to be fixed. It is now may 2019 and nothing has been addressed. Several emails have been exchanged and I am guessing they are too busy! I guess I have no choice now but to seek legal representation. There is brick mortar all over my stone. Also all over my front entrance . ( the service tech even said it was a horrible job) The second coat of paint on my three doors has not been done yet , there is discoloured grout in one of my three bathrooms , the garage door buckled in and out on bottom panel , there are holes under my carpet. Just to name a few! I have emails from 2017 and 2018 saying they are coming to fix it. Which has not happened. I guess customer service is not a priority! This is the first home I’ve built and my next will be with a better, more customer driven builder. Please choose wisely, as there are many better options then these Mickey Mouse builders!

Tony has been phenomenal in answering any questions, adapting to our requirements, etc. He has helped us multiple times & has gone above & beyond his job responsibility. The experience in selecting the material, paint, etc for the house was easy & beautiful. The whole team at Geertsma has been great. But one of our favourite part was the closing day. We went to see the house & found the house is cleaned professionally with a special Thank you card from Andy & gift cards for the local fool place. There was a tool kit with every day tools plus toiletries. So we did not have to worry about anything. A TRUE TURN KEY Home. We feel blessed to have dealt with such an awesome builder :) Kudos to you All!! Thank you Geertsma Homes Team :)

Even though it was a new build, I had it inspected by a long time friend and fully qualified building inspector. He said it was above code on insulation and very well built. I never hear my neighbour attached to me. The layout and finishes are lovely. Service was great. There were some small cosmetic details at first which they addressed right away. No complaints, highly recommend.
