This is going to be a difficult review to write because two of my garmin watches (the Forerunner 920XT and the Vivofit) have been great watches for me. I've had the Forerunner at least 5 years and it's still running strong and always works well for my training needs. I also had a Garmin vivofit watch that ran for 2 years straight without an issue (unfortunately I lost it this past January). I decided to buy a new everyday garmin to track my steps and some workouts. After a lot of research I purchased a Vivosport. I can only say I am so disappointed with this watch. The battery only lasts about 5 days before I have to charge it. It's supposed to track how many times I walk up and down stairs. It's always wrong and misses many of my stair climbs. It is constantly connecting and disconnecting from my phone. I can only move about 2 meters from my phone and it's disconnects and re-connects over and over. When I do a full weight lifting set, it only seems to count one or two lifts. Quite often it will not light up when I lift my arm to check the time which is supposed to be a feature. I have only had this watch about a month and I'm already totally frustrated with it. Finally, I also have a Garmin helmet camera that has never worked. I paid well over $200.00 for it and have used it once or twice. The battery runs out within 10 minutes of starting a ride so I just quit using it.

I recently bought marine navigation software and a GPS chip for my fish finder from Garmin. The purchase was made online and there was an advertised rebate of $50 that I applied for twice and was refused twice based on the fact that I could not provide the part number. Of course the part number was not provided on the receipt, the packaging, or online with the exception that a number was on the bar code sticker. A call to the Garmin customer support entered me into a circular phone messaging system from which no good will ever come. What a hoax. This will be my last purchase from Garmin.

I bought my husband a Garmin Felix 5 a couple of years ago. He’s barely worn it, but every time he does, trying to get the charger to connect is near impossible. It was an issue right from the beginning so I should’ve returned it right away. We contacted Garmin customer service and they said we could buy a new one and get a credit for this one, but I am hesitant to spend anymore money knowing that there is no repair support and this could be an ongoing issue. I bought myself the Felix 5S and wear it all the time. Charging was not an issue originally, but now it is starting to be. I clean the charger and the watches each time, otherwise there is no charge and connection at all. I am extremely disappointed there is no repair option and/or customer service that can help us out without buying new watches. They are expensive watches to only lasted a few years.
