Having been a client for many years it's disheartening to read the poor reviews. I have always had exceptional and compassionate care from Dr. Honey and all his staff. I have always left with a clear understanding of my options and never been pressured into any one option over the other. Good veterinary care is expensive, that is consistent with all veterinarian practices. From time to time an appointment may be a bit late or delayed, but in fairness emergency triage is most important. As a pet owner I will always patiently wait for another pet owners emergency. Dr Honey has always taken time after each appointment to ensure I completely understand the situation, and if needed, has graciously taken time for follow up phone calls. As a client for the better part of 15 years never have I had any inclination to explore or seek any other veterinary service in Squamish. When a specialist referral to Canada West has been needed, Garabaldi Vets has worked seamlessly along side them from the start of the referral till the finish. I would highly recommend Garabaldi Vets to anyone. Thank you Dr Honey and staff for continued excellent, diligent and compassionate care for my crew.

Dr. Honey and his team have been an extraordinary help since my dog had some complications (pancreatitis, inflammation from diet intolerence, and a mass on her spleen all at once) about a year ago. They saved her life when she needed an emergency splenectomy, and we were crunched for time to get her pancreatitis under control first...I am forever grateful. My dog means the world to me, and I cannot express my gratitude enough! I have always been pleased with the vet care I have received at various places in town, however many vets in town do not offer 7 day a week service, and I was lucky that GVH were open when we needed to be seen urgently on a Sunday. Also, once stabilized from the pancreatitis, I was so glad to not have to transport my dog to the city to have her spleen-removal surgery, as she was in very fragile condition (due to the spleen-mass membrane being so thin), and I would not have wanted to make the drive with no medical supports for her en route. Dr. Honey and his team were able to perform the surgery locally and had the technology and precautions in place should blood transfusions be required etc. Dr. Honey was incredibly sensitive to my concerns and walked me through the whole process. He made an extremely scary and emotional time bearable, and demonstrated so much compassion. A year and a bit later, I continue to receive comprehensive options for my dog's ongoing care, as various different concerns have come up...as they tend to with middle-aged/ senior dogs. I have confidence that Dr. Honey will share info/options when it can benefit his patients. I've noticed some other comments about people feeling they are sometimes being told they need extra unnecessary tests etc.... but I appreciate Dr. Honey's comprehensive care, and feel supported in making the best possible decision for my beloved pet, based on having all the facts....and sometimes it's hard to have the facts without the testing etc...I can appreciate this :) Thank you so much Dr. Honey and Team for taking such good care of us!

I live in Whistler & had a kitty emergency. They were able to accommodate me asap & spent the next 24hrs taking great care of Rupert. I was kept in constant touch with how he was doing, what everything would cost, etc...(I literally got 5 updates in 1 day!). I wouldn’t hesitate to make the drive down again to use their services?

Dr made time to see my dog last minute for an emergency although fully booked. Staff were understanding and considerate to my large nervous dog that was unable to be sedated due to the emergency.

My cat escaped and was attacked by a coyote, he was badly hurt and needed emergency treatment. I tried 2 other vet's that wouldn't even give the option for emergency treatment. I called Garibaldi Veterinary Hospital and they took him in immediately. This was right before 5pm as well. They kept him over night on oxygen and IV and stabilized him. If they hadn't taken him when they did, my cat wouldn't have survived the night. Dr. Honey and his staff gave me frequent updates on his condition, which kept me at ease during the whole process. Once recovered, they made sure my cat was up to date on all vaccines and identified another easily treated health problem that I was not aware of. Which was all diagnosed and treated for free. My cat is doing incredibly well considering and that's all because of Dr. Honey and his team, for their swift response during an inconvenient time and their attentiveness of care. I am so so thankful. Thank you again! ❤

I am a cat daddy, and I thought I was going to loose my old girl to pancreatitis last Fall. She was in the hospital for 3 days. The staff at Garibaldi were giving me daily updates. Dr Honey also recommended I switch my kitty’s food and she hasn’t had a flair up since. I am so very grateful! Thank you!

Same day appointment when I called concerned for my dog. All staff are amazing and was fortunate to have Dr. Honey look at Milly. Always feel like my dogs have received the best level of care from Garibaldi Vet. They are alway very considerate of my feelings as well. Highly recommend them, no matter what Vet tech or Vet takes care of your pet (you can ask for a specific one too if that is what you like) you receive exceptional and considerate care.

I 100% trust Dr Honey and his team with my dogs. I know they are in good hands whenever they need to go in, whether for a quick visit or for a surgery or procedure. It's clear that all of the staff are animal lovers and do their very best to make sure my boys are comfortable and safe. Highly recommended!
