No other garage was open on the long weekend but gabe picked up right away, trying to determine the problem over the phone until my vehicle arrived at his garage. Diagnosed the problem, provided a copy and ordered the parts. Vehicle fixed quickly and no problems since! Honest, friendly, hardworking and trustworthy garage, thank you again!

He's very friendly and he's got the best attribute in the business; honesty. This guy will not upcharge you or lie to you he will simply tell you what you need and get it done for a fair price. I recommend everybody go check him out!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just like the other reviews say, Gabe is the man! I am just travelling through CR and was having issues I needed to address before continuing on the road. No other shop in town could fit me in for days or weeks, but Gabe got me in almost right away. He is honest, great value, great work and awesome customer service, very friendly. Can't recommend and RAVE Gabe at V.I.P. Garage enough! Will be my go to mechanic from now on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I live in 100 Mile House, BC and came to Campbell River to visit friends. My vehicle broke down with, what I thought was, a failed fuel pump. Gabe was able to diagnose the issue and repaired it quickly and affordably. He was amazing; showed me photos of the problem and also showed me the part that had failed. He explained the repair process to me and provided full documentation of all the engine codes and such. Gabe was able to fix my vehicle and I was able to get back home on time. Thank you, Gabe, you are an amazing mechanic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 2002 Honda CR-V had a serious engine issue on and off for a few years - it goes into limp mode periodically. I took it to multiple mechanics in Vancouver, and nobody could fix it - spent a couple thousand dollars replacing various parts. The Honda dealership was useless and just wanted to sell me a new car. I recently moved to the island and was prepared to just replace the whole engine. Gabe was able to diagnose and fix it and now it runs better than ever. His attention to detail is second to none, and he really knows his way around engines of all types. I would recommend Gabe to anyone, and will be brining my car to him from now on.
