I am so pleased with the finished product, and I am most pleased with the renewed colour of the desk. All original elements that could be salvaged were kept, and items needing replaced were thoughtfully chosen. I wish I could post before and after photos. Also, they found three vintage stamps wedged within the woodwork of the desk, and returned these to me as well. Thank you so much, Farshad and Sally. The set belonged to my great grandparents and passed down through successive generations. I have many happy memories laughing as a family around this table and watching my mom knead bread on it every week. Although a good set, some of the chairs were wobbly or missing a rung or two; the table was in desperate need of some love, having a lot of bare wood showing where there had once been varnish. Farshad and Sally treated this project with so much love and care. I didn’t expect the level of consideration and attention to detail that they put into the refinishing. It was really important to them that I get the colour and finish that looked best in our home. After they had it stripped down they gave me samples on the back of a table leaf so I could bring it home and decide which looked best in the space. They took every part of the chairs apart and stained and rebuilt them. The result is absolute beauty! The grain of the old oak is showcased it all it’s glory and the finish is matte, yet silky smooth. Farshad and Sally went well above my hopes and expectations! They preserved a piece of our family’s history and I couldn’t be happier with the result! I highly recommend their work.

Farshad and Sally were so quick and easy to work with. Their quote to refinish my table top and extension was very good. The work was beautifully done. We visited their shop in Langley and when I saw the quality of some of their projects in progress we asked them to build 3 other custom pieces for us. The workmanship and finishes on the pieces are first class. They visited our home to double check for the size , placement and colours that we wanted. Their prices are very good for the excellent quality of the finished and installed items.

We had our kitchen cabinet doors replaced, gables replaced and a few custom cabinets built. We also had our dining room table refinished and had them stain our chair legs to match. Throughout the entire process, Farshad and Sally were extremely professional, responsive, and their customer service was top notch. Their work was beautiful and we are so happy with the way everything turned out. We would definitely recommend FS1.

The legs were splinters, it had been run over and crushed, I was heartbroken. I came here hoping they could rebuild it and it looks so good you can’t tell that anything ever happened to it. Amazing job for a fair price. Baby loves her chair. I’m so happy and will be coming back here for all the furniture and wood needs I have for as long as they’re in business.

They listened to my wants as it pertained to the pieces of furniture I wanted refinished. They brought color samples and explained the process of how my furniture would be refurbished and finished assuring me I would be pleased with the final product. They worked with my time restraints and schedule and were professional, kind and accommodating as needed. I cannot explain how thrilled I was the day I received my “new” bedroom suite. The transformation from a chocolate cherry stain to a flawless, cloud white (love it!) finish was absolute perfection. You can definitely see and sense the pride they have in their craftsmanship. I am so thankful. Sally and Farshad more than exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait to have them refinish a couple more pieces waiting in line! ? Thank you both so much! HIGHLY recommend!

They built us custom cabinets with solid maple doors and pre-finished birch plywood boxes that were good value and fit our budget. During our initial meeting with Farshad and Sally, they answered all our questions and made numerous suggestions that resulted in a better kitchen layout that included an additional coffee bar that could be integrated into our current living space. They helped to make a somewhat complicated and potentially stressful renovation into an easy one. Farshad and Sally kept us informed from start to finish. They were easy to reach, answered all our questions and we could not be happier. The installers they used were friendly, professional, and considerate of our needs. They worked quickly and to a very high standard. In four days, we had a fully functional kitchen which was ready before Christmas as promised. We are thrilled with our new kitchen which surpasses anything we had initially expected. I highly recommend FS1.
