★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must visit should you have the time to enjoy a leisurely meal. Food is great. Service helpful and cheerful. Fresh made bread and pastries. It is just outside of Vernon. I have been here a couple times and always have an enjoyable visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review is for the cinnamon buns only. The restaurant has always been a great place to eat.
For many years we stopped at Friesen's to pick up cinnamon buns. Its been 2 years since we have stopped and I have to say that the buns are no longer the best in the west. They used to be gooey and rich with many raisins. Now they still have lots of cinnamon but are dry, with little sweet topping and almost no raisins. Very disappointed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yesterday I went to purchase bread, cinnamon buns and cookies. Cost $36:00 . When I got home and tried the bread it was totally soggy on the outside from bagging it before properly being cooled. I had to put it in my oven to dry and crisp it up. This morning I tried the cinnamon buns, another big disappointment. No stickyness on the bottom at all and only a very few raisins. I don’t mind the price increase but not happy with the change in quality. The cookies were the only thing I was happy with.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quality food ingredients used including fantastic bread. Usually a busy place, so expect a small wait. Order at the front. Get your own water / coffee but servers come around to clear plates and drop off food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quaint country restaurant with fresh, simple, home-made favorites--all-day breakfast and lunch (so supper)--sandwiches, soups, desserts, coffee and ice cream. Plus fresh bread, preserves and frozen meals available, as well.
Service was warm and friendly, but there can be a bit of a wait to order. Food service was fast, potions are good, but the price is on the higher end. The dining room is a cozy atmosphere like the country home setting. And the back patio is spacious with options for shade or sun. Parking is limited, especially at peak hours.
