Friesen Drillers is a fifth-generation family business based in Steinbach, Manitoba, specializing in water well drilling. From simple residential water wells to complex piling for building constructions, you can count on Friesen Drillers to deliver.

With over 100 years of experience working on a vast range of projects including sophisticated as ground loop geothermal heating system holes and consulting work as far away as Africa’s Ivory Coast.

Friesen Drillers bears little resemblance to the company founded in 1892 by C.K. Friesen, who started the business drilling for water in southeastern Manitoba with one rig. Today, we use over 40 pieces of equipment to complete drilling projects around the world, and work out of a new 32,000 sq. ft. facility located just north of Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada. Our company is operated by the 3rd and 4th generation of Friesen’s, with the 5th generation already actively involved in the field.

If you have a problem at home with a dry or contaminated well it can’t wait, and if your commercial operation is flooding or in danger from river erosion then speed is important. Friesen Drillers operates at a maximum capacity of 10 drilling rigs ready to move at a moments notice. Our customers have come to expect complete service and Friesen Drillers has been able to deliver with an array of generators, test pumps, water/service units and auxiliary air machinery and hammers to back up our primary drilling rigs.

T	Tim S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This company is NOT the same company as it was, 2 years ago. Since the owner passed away, seems the ethics of business is no longer the same as when the dad John ran it. I had requested to get a quote on their services for a few lots outside the city. They did not come through getting back to me in the time frame that was promised, and/or keeping their commitment. I was under a time restraint, which I did tell them. Their reason was not justified either. Guess the kids that took over this family run business didn't think the same as the old man. I will not be using them again. I ended up going elsewhere else and I gave them the job. They appreciated my business and realized my time is just as important.
T	Taryn Jonsson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called for an emergency, pumped stopped working and after 5 hours of a plumbing company trying to get it out it was decided we needed the well drilled again. Called and in not so many words was told my business was not important to them, and would have to wait four weeks. I get that things can be busy, but she did not even seem sympathetic to my situation and told me to call some one else. I was referred to them by the plumbers. With a 3 yr old and 7 month old twins at home, in a house we have only owned for 2 months, no running water is not an option. So i went onto the next guy.

I called five or six times and left several messages and no one answered my calls,it took over a week for someone to call me back. Once I booked my appointment for a new well I was told it would be only two weeks and they rescheduled twice and pushed back my appointment to three weeks. I found the office staff to be very uninformative as to what the drill crew needed for site preparation. I did not know that the equipment they were bringing was so large and needed a lot of space to work as I needed to remove trees. I was also not told that I needed to have hydro and shaw marked before they could drill. All said the crew they sent out were great and were very accommodating waited very patiently for locates and worked very hard to put the well in a good spot. I would have rated lower but drill crew worked very hard to get the job done. Thanks guys!

Ask your neighbors near by about their Wells or call Manitoba water stewardship and ask about Wells in your area! I have had the unfortunate experience dealing with them in the past and they appear to have a few inexperienced drillers. I hired them to drill my well and all of my neighbors are under a hundred feet deep. They went over the three hundred feet deep and got no water. They had to move and try again and finally found water at ninety feet. I got charged for both Wells Even though I told them it was under a hundred feet. Total cost nearly 12000.00 Dollars. Needless to say I will no longer be using their services .

When on the day of the drill we unexpectedly were made aware of an existing septic field in too close of proximity that wasn't previously disclosed. The driller assisted us with finding a new location that met with government regulations and proved to be amazing water. Their experience saved us from a very costly mistake. They were on time, efficient with set up and the drilling and they even cleaned up. Jason was very helpful and informative when booking and the price was right within our budget . Would highly recommend using them.

After the well was drilled I had some sand in the well. I called Friesen, spoke to Lisa and she was very helpful. She had the guys back to fix the well the next day. They fixed my problem. We had Friesens drill our well and had a bit of a hicup which sometimes happens in every business along the way. They responded and rectified the situation immediately and in my opinion went beyond the call of duty. I will 100% refer and certainly use them in the future. Great job & service was tip of the spear!!
