Twice this spring, they have either sold us things that they did NOT have in stock (10 bails of soil when there where only 3 in stock), or sold out goods that we had bought for later pickup (paver slabs - 8 in stock on Saturday, bought 5 to be picked up Tuesday, they were gone on Tuesday). Very disappointed in the response at the store. No offers to see if any were available at other stores that could be brought in for us. Basically a shrug and "well you got your money back". Gee, thanks for caring.

Always greet customers with a smile right from entrance. Staffs are friendly, experienced and attentive, always got asked if I needed anything before I even asked. Wish they could be open on Sunday as well.

Decent selection. Staff is mostly helpful. Lots of parking. Clean bathroom. Clean store. Prices are higher than Canadian Tire on many things. Efficient returns, as long as you have receipt, package is unopened, and the sun is in the right part of the sky. Not much has changed.

Great for local tools and such however for contractors I would recommend going elsewhere if you can. The supervisor of the Contractors counter all but told me that she would rather only offer there much more expensive delivery service for small item deliveries rather then offer them a cheaper alternative that would help the customer save some money. Told me she had no interest in helping a small business who was willing to offer a less expensive service to their customers.

I am a native 15 year old and this white old worker was following me around the whole store and acting like I was stealing, I feel very ashamed that people are like this in 2022. I SHOULDNT be treated like this.

Terrible service. The owners have no customer service skills whatsoever. They didn’t want to do anything for me but to get me to spend more money in their store. Waited for three hours in their store to rectify the situation and it wasn’t until a representative from one of their products that is being sold on the shelf at home hardware , rectified the situation in less then 5 minutes. Why? Cause the product company promised to credit home hardware for loss of money. Home hardware is more concerned about losing money then making their customers happy. They acted like the money was coming out of their own pay check! They could have just claimed it with their representative but they chose to make this hard for their customers!!! Thank you to the kind representative β€œDOUG” for stepping up to the plate when the two owners of home hardware of Fsj should of . How can u shop local if you cant get the same great customer service that the big box stores give to you?? Customer service means everything when I shop at a store . But clearly you have enough customers and no room for more. Such a shame

Terrible place to work. Pay is absolutely disgusting and management is a complete joke. The store owner Doug is terrible with communicating to his employees and treating them fairly. They give sweetheart deals to people that they know personally and will start them at a higher rate then the rest of the group. I started with home hardware as a class 3 driver making $21 an hour meanwhile previous drivers were hired at $25. Pay aside when I started I genuinely enjoyed my job and what I did but it wasn't long after starting that I started having my doubts. They have a single axle flat deck truck (FL80) that should NOT legally be on the road for multiple reasons but they are planning on running it until it physically cannot run anymore. The drama is insane, almost worst then high-school itself. Doug will try to make himself big and try to intimidate you when talking to you. It's really quite disappointing seeing as there are so many model employees being underpaid and mistreated with Home Hardware. I would not recommend working here, especially as a truck driver.
