So bad!!!! They painted everything one day before we move in. There was a huge and stronge smell. i could not even stay 2 hours in the suite. My nose was buring and headache. The manager just said nothing and the maintenance guy said no smell??? Even my neighbor could notice.. Omg so rule. Can't believe it happened in Canada.

So iv been with Boardwalk for about 7 years. Iv has a few problems such as a fire 3 New Years ago, a few fridges breaking down AND a flood.... Every problem Iv had, I DO have to say Boarkwalk has been nothing but professional and dealt with every problem in a timely manner AND to the best of their ability. Carizza is the building manager of Fort Garry House, she has been nothing but efficient, professional and pleasant to deal with. Building always clean and maintenance guys and staff always friendly :)

This whole experience of moving into the for Carrier house here in Edmonton Alberta, has been a very pleasant experience. Even though our move was on the coldest day between Christmas and New Year's. The staff here at Fort garryhouse were more than compliant with our needs. Very well maintained very clean, impressed with the way the parking lot is kept. Clean laundry facility. And Crizza could not ask for a more pleasant young lady and very helpful and every way. Our maintenance man Ryan was so helpful to me and very thankful for the quick service that he gave us. Great staff. Just been a few weeks living here and enjoying being in a safe building. A beautiful area with a beautiful view. The walking around is beautiful and pleasant. And the people that we have met so far have been very nice and pleasant. Enjoying our new home.

I went to look at Riverview apartments with my sister and the Resident Manager, Pritika was amazing, friendly and very professional! She mentioned my sister might like the Fort Garry House and called the Resident Manager there for us to go and look without having an appointment! She was right! Just waiting now for the call to say we have this wonderful place! Dog friendly! Thanks Pritika! Update: Unfortunately not the perfect home. Electrical issues, smell of people smoking a "few different things" and way to many muscle cars revving their engines. My sister ended up breaking her lease and moved out. Still 5 Stars for Pritika in the beginning, but only 1 star for the building.

Hi My name is Patricia, I moved into Fort Garry House end of may to suite 1101. what a wonderful, safe, secure building. My hat goes off to the most amazing staff. The manager Mustafa is such a great person, so nice, friendly, always will help you with anything from maintenance to cleaning. Fil keeps building so clean and tidy. This crew deserves 10 star rating. Boardwalk is truly blessed with this staff welcome to Fort Garry house you will love it

I lived in one of the top apartments and had an unreal view of the downtown skyline. This place is surprisingly a great to live in and super competitive for the location. The staff at the office go above and beyond to always make sure you are comfortable. They even helped me carry some things when I moved out. Only issue was the neighbour upstairs which was a nightmare. I had to call the office (which didn't do much) and eventually call the police on numerous times as he fought dangerously with his spouse or would get bluntly drunk and scream on his balcony... aside from that- great, safe and clean place! Thank you Rosie and Mustafa!

We have lived here for 6 months so far. We love that the building has been recently renovated and that a gym has been added! As the suites are older they are decently spacious. We have enjoyed living here especially given the support and care given by the building manager, Roschelle. We have never had an issue with anything and it has been wonderful having maintenance on site for when small things need attention! It is pet friendly and you can tell, there are such wonderful dogs and their humans living here. It does feel like a small, wonderful community.

The positives of Fort Garry House is the gym, the friendliness of the onsite maintenance and management during my term (bonus star is for them only), and the potential views if you're at the right level and unit. Here is everything to be considerate of after renting here for a couple years: - Your first year total rent will increase significantly in years 2 and onwards under the guise of incentives simply reducing. If you're planning to stay here for years, budget for an increase of $80-$300 per month more in later years. There is zero chance to negotiate your rent. - West side of building will get VERY noisy at daily rush hour times (lots of horning due to merging confusion at 104st and Sask Dr), plus nicer weather weekend shenanigans. You will also hear every loud exhausts daily from trucks, motor bikes and sporty cars during warmer months late into all evenings (they race down towards Kinsmen and across Walter Dale Bridge). - Various local community members pick through the garbage and recycling bins for bottles and cans at anytime of the day (mostly late night). They've always been friendly in my experiences, but this may be important to know for some folks. - It was extremely disappointing that it took months for Boardwalk to properly address near weekly domestic abuse incidents involving alcohol on our floor that required building security and police involvement on several occasions. These incidents in the middle of the night were disturbing & traumatizing to myself and my neighbors, and it is shameful for how long it took Boardwalk to act and evict the tenants. - The air quality of the building is poor and potentially unhealthy, especially at the higher level and likely to due poor exhausting. After moving out, all of my congestion and throat flem disappeared. I always thought it was allergies, but it instantly went away after moving out and flared up when I went back for final inspection. It was common to get the odours (cigarette smoke and food) trespassing into my space. - I had an older, unrenovated unit, so this could be an issue with the shower regulator, but the shower was either way too hot or too cold, so it was a tricky to get a comfortable shower and find the sweet spot. - Boardwalks procedure at the end of your lease for returning your security deposit was stated in-person that any utility outstanding balances would be subtracted from this deposit refund. After receiving the security deposit back minus the utility balance, I am now being told there is another small balance left owing from utilities. Despite telling them that Boardwalk already told me we were settled and highlighting how their poor internal procedures and accounting process is not my problem, I'm now wasting my time publicly sharing what renting at fort Garry and dealing with Boardwalk is like. Rented here until Nov 2021.
