★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This park is one of my favorites in Brantford. Beautiful gardens and willow trees! It is kept so beautifully maintained. Great for family picnics. I sometimes bring a blanket and a book to sit under the big trees and read. A friend and I also used to bring our yoga mats and do yoga together in the mornings. I can't wait for the summer weather to come to use this park again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Continuing on from Lorne Park, I took the tunnel unde the road to Fordview Park. It's a small park area with a single bench in it, but there are a couple more benches close by on the Trail beside it. It has a few flower beds and some mature trees for shade. There's also 2 exercise equipment available to use. It seems the lookout point and the Dike Trail bridge from the park are fenced off and unusable, which is a shame. It would be wonderful to view the Grand River from them. There is a small parking area off of Fordview Drive and the #5 and #6 buses go along Colborne Street past both Lorne Park and Fordview Park
