Awesome big cozy house with an amazing manager Randy. Well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bus or walking distance to main village.

Pictures don't really do the space justice; it is a very nice, spacious yet cozy ski lodge. The rooms are reasonably sized (and priced, considering Whistler pricing even in the summer) and beds are very comfortable. The kitchen and fireside social areas are quite massive and can easily accommodate quite a few. The location isn't particularly great, but it's almost an expectation that you're not in the Village if you want something fairly reasonably priced. There's also the added benefit in the summer that because it's so far out of the way from the lights in the village, the view of the stars is brilliant here. The games room is also standard fare, with a pool table, foosball table, and a ping pong table (we never were able to find a ping pong ball that wasnt deformed) Honestly the big issue for us during our stay was that the place is minimally staffed so noise limits were never maintained in any meaningful way. At 8am in the morning there would be a screeching mass of children running and jumping on the wooden floors. With the limited sound isolation, even heavier sleepers are gonna be rudely awoken for at least an hour while they are corralled. With a respectful hostel crowd this place is excellent, but our stay here was mediocre

LOVE this place except when shareholders, or whoever they are, allow their kids to run around all over the place in spite of the signs in the halls. Found these same people to be extremely noisy during mutual mealtimes, totally disregarding the comfort of other guests in the dining area. Randy is awesome as are the different staff members at the front desk.

I stayed at fireside for the 2017 Winter, then again for 2018 Summer & once more for 2019 winter. Firstly Randy the manager is very hospitable. He knows a great deal about the village and mountain and is generally full of the stereotypical Canadian kindness. The lodge itself is excellent, providing rooms and beds at really reasonable prices for Whistler. I found that in 2015, finding cheap accommodation in whis was quite easy, however afterwards prices have continued trending upwards, but fireside always kept their rates very fair, even by comparison to local rates & private rent prices. The facilities are excellent too, well equipped kitchens/lounge/game room and even a sauna Lastly, and most importantly, whether your biking or boarding. The lodge is ridiculously close to Creekside gondola, the BC transit stops and Creekside village. I spent a lot of time in Whistler, and could never find a better alternative than Fireside for price, location, and facilities.

Honestly, the best hostel I have ever stayed at. It starts with warm and welcoming environment. The front desk/host was very friendly and informative. Hotel has all the necessary amenities like secured equipment storage, laundry, storage for personal belongings (but get your own pad lock). Large kitchen with spacious dining area. Overall cleanliness is 5 out 5! The dorms are quiet and comfy. I had a great stay and will be happy to come back!

Cool, cozy and clean and quiet. It’s a proper Whistler gateway. Well placed on Nordic drive, walking distance from Whistler Creeksides gondola and amenities. 5 minutes-ish drive to Whistler village. And a 5 minutes walk to the valley trail. Big and cozy living room with board games. Clean and well build dormitory. Very cool private rooms. Big lockers, both for luggage’s and for gear. Special thanks to Randy for being so friendly, welcoming, obliging and kind. Absolutely recommend the place

Nice place to stay! It’s pretty big and everyone is nice! You can still meet people but not a party atmosphere which is nice sometimes.
