The workers there are absolutely horrible!! The worst experience at a restaurant I have ever had. I used to be a regular and would go often but after an incident I WILL NEVER be going back. The older lady there which is sadly the owner disrespected me and my friend. She began to talk bad about us behind our back . Every time I went she would always judge us but I let it slide because I enjoyed the place. To be honest the food is SUPER SLOW and unseasoned. I think I got food poisoning one time and the food makes me super sick!! HONESTLY NOT SURE WHY I EVER WENT ! Overall they are super rude and I am so dissapointed . DO NOT GO

Not sure if Jim P. is referring to Fifties Diner in Oakville. My family and I have been going there for years, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Never ever had a problem. Place is always clean, food is fantastic the service is great. Sounds like he has an axe to grind or something.

Pros: Staff was gingerly and professional during interactions. Coffee wasn't burnt. Food is good. Cons: Location is heavily understaffed. Lack of foresight/planning by the owner? Slow service as a result- despite the admirable efforts of the staff. My heart goes out to the single server and front of house that wore multiple hats to help out. You folks did great. Context: This was on a Sunday. The weekend. Not some off-beat mid-day ordeal on a Tuesday where you expect low traffic. I came in at 11:35 AM. It was 32 minutes before I received my first coffee. It is 12:23 and I place my order about 10 minutes after I came in. Food is yet on its way out. I can't imagine the type of monolithic undertaking that is running your own business, to be frank. You'll have to forgive my possible lack of imagination - but after being to many diners in my life... This experience is an outlier rather than something that falls within the standard deviation. I hope that the staff is bolstered with additional help as I worry these kinds of issues are hampering the prosperity of the business and its reception (especially for first timers such as myself). It is possible that this is a one-off scenario... But the fatigue in the eyes of the server makes me wonder. Update: Food received at 12:31 PM. Nearly an hour since arrival. 45 minutes since ordering. Food was tasty.

Hello, I have not found an email for a manager and I am unsure as to who I spoke to on the phone, but I see there is great response time on reviews! I just want to confirm if your restaurant is okay with a one person photoshoot, preferably before any rush hours or even opening? It's great publicity for a beautiful restaurant and has great potential for future income. Looking forward to hearing back.

I don't usually leave reviews for places, but I had to for fifties diner. I had the roast beef hoagie sandwich with mashed potatoes on the side and a vanilla milkshake delivered. IT WAS AMAZING! the mashed potatoes were a perfect texture. The roast beef was still hot when it got to me and had a nice layer of melted cheese on top. It came on a toasted buttered bun. The milkshake was classic, cold, and completed the meal. They also left a little note on my take out box telling me to have a nice day. 10 out of 10 I can't wait to make an in person visit when things open up :)

Very unpleasant experience at this diner which my fiance was so excited to take me to today as it was my first and last time going. Our server Ellie maybe had an off day however was miserable and rude. My fiance asked if they had anymore creamers as his coffee was curdling from them and was told by Ellie "if you dont like it dont drink it.. Its all we have." In such a rude manner. As I see in other reviews and my fiancez omelette that clearly there was an issue with mine. She asked me how is the food bc i wasnt eating the omelette and i said its dry and looks burnt. She abruptly cut me off and told me its the spinach and thats how it comes out. I said id like 2 over easy eggs instead which she said i wont charge you for. Because i was paying for this burnt omelette that all i really would have preferred was a remake which wasnt happening. Alexa should be a server instead because she saved the visit for us big time. Very pleasant friendly young girl and she deserves zome recognition. Thanks girl .

I never usually leave a 1 star review but this place is exceptional! I ordered an omelet with mashroom and tomato but it tasted extremely bad and it was over cooked and burnt. I had to hammer my fork through their home fries potato and it felt like a rock and they never replaced it with a freshly cooked fries, even their toast bread tasted super burnt. I would say that the customer service needs some attention if you want to keep the business running... but as for me, it would be my last time visiting. Thank you for reading my review
