A very rustic setting. The current owners took over in 2014. Pull through sites were expanded and a the park landscaping was vastly improved. The owners were cordial and very accommodating. We arrived in the early evening and the owner kept the laundromat open an extra hour for us. $2 to wash (only 2 machines) and 50 cents to dry but it took two sets. So figure $3 a load. Bathrooms are old and have not been updated. Shower was free, but not a lot of pressure and barely warm, which is why the 4 stars instead of 5.

The bathrooms near our site weren't very well maintained. The sizes and shapes of campsites was also a bit funky, but it made them more private. Otherwise great place. Nice 'beach' (it's actually a pond) with a slide on a dock standing in the middle of the water. Good hiking trails with various berries. Great customer service.

Beautiful campground, I didn’t expect such a expansive place with lots of trees and yes fieldstone buildings. Pro Tip: if you don’t need a sewer connection the other serviced lots are spaced out more.

Quaint spot. Nice, small beach with a cool water slide feature. Picnic areas are clean, and staff was friendly. Stopped just for lunch and to let the kids run off some energy.

This place is a gem. just delightful in every way! The staff are friendly and very helpful the office is welcoming and there is a store there to get necessities. There is a wonderful pool for kids and adults to play in on hot days. There are wonderful trails through wildflower meadows overlooking wheat fields. The sites are forested and private and have full hook ups. Each site has a nice private fire pit and picnic table. I didn’t notice too many mosquitos when I camped there. I highly recommend this place, particularly to families. Lots of happy kids here, but it is very quiet too. A lot of work has gone into making this place a little bit of heaven on earth.

Although we were lucky to have a full service side the fact that there are no operational washrooms or showers in the whole campground is a complete miss-representation of their web site. The majority of the campground is in dis-repair. I am sure it was great at some point in the past and could be again with investment and repairs.

It was really sad to see the state of disrepair of most of the buildings. Main bathroom/shower by the office had no paper towels and the air hand dryer didn't work. All the other bathrooms that I checked out were either locked or in complete destruction, no floors, toilets laying on the floor, just terrible. Most sites are wonderfully shaded and for the most part fairly level. Just very sad to see that it has not been maintained over the years ???

Overall the campground was nice, but don't expect much coming here. It has easy access off the Trans Canada HWY and some basic features for families. The place is dated (1950's?) but still carries a lot of charm. The playground was old but functional and our kids still had fun. The small pond is good for swimming, weedy but clean. It has a slide off the swimming platform in the middle of the pond. The main bathroom was in good shape, again dated, but clean. We agreed that it was the cleanest bathroom at a campsite we've seen in days (driving across Canada). Showers weren't hot, but plenty warm enough. The owner was really nice and helpful when we arrived. Definitely a friendly place. Would we stay again? Yes, definitely if we pass through on the way home. Don't be scared away from its old charm, it's worth the stay.
