★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a basic campground with minimal services and no staff on site. Camp spots are not well defined and a bit of a hodge podge, it's first come - first serve as to where you setup. There is access to the river and wildlife is nearby (many bird species, porcupines, coyotes, muskrats, etc.). Reasonable campground fees of $15 a night (2021) paid by drop box. Access to the "badlands" is not available however as it is private land and no trespassing signs are posted! OK for camping a night or two and having river access but disappointing that there are no trails available on public land. Note you will need to travel on a gravel road for about 5 kilometers to get there. Public restrooms were still closed on June 2.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great place to have a weekend camping trip. Beautiful view, nice place to "paddle the Battle". Local folks are very friendly. Simple campground but very accommodating for group camping, nice sheltered sites closer to the river. No hook ups, good boon docking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little campground. Only a couple miles of gravel to get you it. Lower sites are nicely treed. One is a group site. Upper sites are large and open. Good for groups. Has a smaller playground with swings. Has access to the river for canoes/ kayaks. No beach type area.
