Love this product! especially the ginger. Highly recommended with soda or as a base for any cocktail!

I haven't been in person, but bought the peach cardamom shrub at a place in Courtney! Soooo tasty in soda water!!!

Been using their shrubs in my cocktails for the past couple years. Everything I have tried (which is mostly everything) has been great. good for soda water and salad dressings too!

First learned about the Shrubbery vinegar flavourings a couple of months ago from my cousin in Ottawa as she'd got a few while visiting. I picked up a couple of bottles to send as part of a care package and grabbed a few for myself. Both the Stratwbeer and Cranberry flavours have been good in carbonated water. I'd be interested in trying other products from Fermentum Foods.

Buyer BEWARE!! I bought a bottle of their Cucumber Mint liquid after trying a taster at their Hillside Mall market event this past Sunday and am STILL paying for it. Along with mint, cucumber and other fairly benign ingredients, this concoction also includes orris root. Though I had not previously heard of orris root prior to my currently unpleasant experience with it, I assumed that, if it were being sold as a consumable, that it was safe to drink. After getting home with my purchase, I put one and a 1/4 tablespoons of the liquid into my water bottle with a little over 3 cups of water, a much more diluted combination than their recommended 1 to 6 ratio. It was delightful, tasted great, I drank the entire bottle and made another but only had a few sips of that one then put it in the fridge for the nest day. The next morning, for lack of a more delicate way to put it, all hell broke loose in my bowels. For the next, now going on 4 days, I was forced to stay home. The first 2 days were the worst as cramping accompanied the urgent "voiding" of watery unpleasantness. The last two days have so far not had much cramping but still include frantic runs to the loo followed by a different kind of "run". Again, sorry but it's hard to describe this "nicely". As the drink was the only novel thing I consumed prior to this hell, I of course started looking things up, that is to say, looking up the only ingredient I hadn't heard of before, orris root. As expected I found sites touting it's health properties for a myriad of ailments, but also found it was mostly used to enhance the smell of potpourri and perfumes. Also ended up finding many sites (primarily medical ones) warning against consuming it, warning that it could cause EXACTLY what I was dealing with. I contacted the company explaining what was going on, this was Monday, it is Thursday now and they have not bothered to reply. So not only did I waste 18$ on something I cannot use and can't even give to anyone else because it would just be cruel, but the company seems to not care one bit. I know what products need to go through to be approved by Health Canada, gonna go out on a limb and say that this company never bothered to go through the process of approval or, well, they wouldn't be selling this stuff. They give a bad name to small companies who have put time and effort into ensuring their products are consumer safe. Lesson learned I suppose, but I am hoping this review will at least save others from this nightmare as pretty sure if it does not improve by end of today I will have to go to a doctor.

Such great flavours! I tried the ginger at the cedar market and purchased the blueberry lemon. So far I’ve mixed it with soda (and gin haha). It’s a much more delicious option for my soda stream than the flavours they sell at the big box stores.
