My name is Josef Buttigieg. What brought me to Saskatchewan was a faculty position at the University of Regina. While I still work as a researcher and teacher (and I love it), for a long time something was missing in my life. I wanted to get away from the daily grind of office and city life. Pulling long hours behind a desk was just not doing it for me and has left me, at times, jaded. An opportunity arose to operate a farm located 10 min north of the city. Thus not only am I learning a more fruitful way of life, but also getting the opportunity to show others, what is important. Spending time with those you care about, Environment, and Stewardship. Not to mention the fresh air and endless skies, and prairie sunsets and moon rises are breathtaking !!! In short a way to relax. : )
In this journey I seek to grow sustainable produce and provide this to the local community. The learning curve has been at times quite steep, but I quite like it and like to share these learning experiences.

In modern digital world this is a priceless experience for adults and kids to feel the atmosphere of a real farm and to be connected with nature for some time. Maria and Joe are very friendly hosts, eager to share their knowledge of domestic animals. We highly recommend this place to everyone!

It’s a working farm (not just a petting zoo), which was really neat.
My child had a super fun time and Joe was extremely patient with him.
Make sure you call ahead and book a time! You will not regret it.
