But she also likes a good deal too. So I trust her. Over Covid, and not being able to get my nails done, I told myself I was ok with not getting my nails done. I was always nice to get my nails done, but it was something I could do without. But at that time, I hadn’t stepped into Faux nails and hadn’t met Emma or June yet. Now, if I have to miss my monthly appointment, I’m lost. The salon is beautiful. The ladies (I’m sure they’re all awesome but I can only speak first hand about Emma and June) are artists. I’ve never received as many compliments on my nails as I have since going to see them. I look forward to the conversation almost as much as I look forward to getting beautified, they’re funny, kind and we have the most interesting chats.. I would highly recommend anyone to go and see them. You won’t be disappointed! Trust me! (And my fancy, beautiful, stylish but also smart with her finances friend of mine!)

I wanted to get my nails professionally removed because of how damaging it can be when done at home. However, the lady who worked on my nails used a fake tip to literally lift and peel off my acrylic nails. There was absolutely no prep, like soaking my nails to soften them, or using acetone to work away the layers of acrylic after filing. This process was super painful and has peeled off so many layers of nail. Even after notifying her that I was in pain, she was no more gentle. I was also burned multiple times during the final filing. I nearly left the salon in tears because of how painful the process was and how sensitive my nail beds are now. I'm so disappointed because I thought I found a new go-to nail salon. Attached is the picture of my nails even after applying cream and cuticle oil (the cream was offered by the salon, the cuticle oil was not).

I wanted to find a nail salon that wasn't going to charge one price the first time you went and then jack the price the minute you became a returning customer. I called here first to discuss my nail options as I used to always get shellac but then my salon convinced me to do hard gel because of a broken nail. I switched and have been asking them to take it back to shellac again for my last two visits and they just kept pushing me to do gel. At Faux Nails she listened to me and gave me what I wanted. I was so happy with the service, the staff and especially the beautiful salon itself! Very spa-like and clean. This is my new go to place in Edmonton! Thank you for the amazing manicure!
