Father & Son Landscape And General Contracting Ltd - Calgary

I left a review that reflected their service on Google and on the same night that I left a review, Avi, who is the Father, called me and told me that if I do not remove this review off of Google, he will “come and teach me a lesson and I will regret it for the rest of my life”. He simply just did not show up TWICE to the appointments that he had set up himself. He then proceeded to call and actually THREATEN me because of a bad review that reflected their services. I called the number that was on a flyer they had delivered. They came and gave me a quote of $289. At first I thought it was expensive but since It was a messy lawn I understood that they had to sacrifice a quick buck they could have made doing a quick spring clean up for $120 instead. I was planning to sell our house so time was of extreme importance to me. We set a date for the service and on the day of the service, they didn’t show up. I called him at around 9pm and asked if there was an issue. He said he didn’t show up because the ground was still too hard for him to use his “expensive” aerating and raking equipment. I asked if he can just come and do the normal clean up without using his expensive equipment. He said he is all booked up and he can only do it on Tuesday which was 4 days from when the first appointment was set. We agreed on him coming and doing a normal clean up and not the extensive clean up that requires his equipment. They did not show up again and for the second time, I had to cancel a photograph session that our realtor had organized. I had to pay $150 to the photographer’s firm for cancelling on them twice without the 24 hour notice they require. This delayed the property’s sale for 10 days because I wasn’t able to book another appointment with the photographer. I would have been totally fine if they would have just told me they cannot do it because it’s a lot of work for them. Would have prevented the whole situation.

Father and Son did a yard clean up, aeration and power raking for me. They also did some overseeding where my lawn was sparse. They were prompt, professional and efficient. They provided the services promised at a competitive price. They kept me informed when there was a weather related delay, which was appreciated. I will use them again.

Father and Son (Avi, Elijah & crew) are the most reliable landscaping company in Calgary IMO. They performed sod installation & lawn repair (sodding), which is what I needed desperately. They also do lawn maintenance, snow removal & a variety of other services. This father & son team are experts in seasonal clean-up services & made my yard look absolutely amazing. I am extremely pleased w/ their attitude & willingness. When I needed them in a hurry, they were quick to respond to my phone call. I will for sure hire them for my snow removal!

We received many flyers last year for spring clean up, one including Father & Son Services. The owner Avi and his son were quick to respond and provided us with an in person quote and we are glad we booked them last year! He was not the cheapest option, but we are glad we spent the extra money for the quality we received. Overall they were professional, great value for the service and a great small father and son business! We are booking them again this year

Very disappointed, received their door knob promo card and checked out the website and decided to ask for a quote to landscape between us and the neighbour where the spring melt has made a large pool as the ground is very unlevelled Got a call from a contractor that does work for Father and Son, cuz F&S are overwhelmed with more business than they can handle. The contractor agreed to come in a couple days to look at the project, with a promise to text the night b4 to confirm the time, Never heard another thing. No text, no phone call, no show! I will NEVER deal with any supplier who is that disrespectful of my (and neighbours) time They are FIRED if I ever hear from them. Based on this unacceptable behaviour, I do NOT recommend Father and Son!.

We booked Father & Son for our snow removal and sod services back in 2020 and they did an amazing job! This year we booked them for their turf services as we wanted a little change in our backyard. Words cannot describe how satisfied we are with our new artificial grass. Avi and his crew worked so hard on this project and always showed up on time. We are so pleased with their professionalism and dedication to getting the job done properly and quickly. They were not the cheapest company but the quality of turf and their overall professionalism is why! It was worth every penny. I highly recommend anyone to use them for snow removal, sod or turf services. Thanks again guys!

Father and Son Landscaping was fantastic to deal with from the moment they came by to do the quote. To when the work started, everyone was very professional. I would recommend them to anyone that is interested in any sort of landscaping that they.wanted to get done. Thank you Avi and Elijah for the start of my back yard oasis

I’m just glad that my buddy referred me to Avi. My backyard was a mess, a big mess, dead grass, steep slope, unfinished deck, gravel all over. After the job was completed, we are spending most of our time in the backyard. Good price, beautiful execution, and an honest team. Strongly recommend.
