About Extreme Electronics
In December of 2002, Brian Johnson and his wife Tracey opened Extreme Electronics at the original store location on Highland Ave. Brian has been involved in the Electronics industry since 1988 and brings with this his knowledge within the electronics industry. This ensures you, our customers, are getting great products at the best prices. We moved to our current 10000 square foot state of the art location, located at 121 17th St North in Brandon, built by Brian and Tracey in November 2014.
Our goal is for you, our customer, to recognize us as The Best for Less electronics retailer in the city of Brandon, province of Manitoba, and in the country. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was having a tough time finding marine speakers in stock in Canada. My typical go-to online suppliers were all sold out. Put a search on Google and Extreme came up as one of the top results. Was hesitant because I had never heard of them and they “seemed” small.
Decided to give them a shot after getting quick communication from someone on the team.
Just received the speakers in Montréal, less than a week after ordering. Super fast shipping. Everything looks great.

Every time I go into the store it’s always a good experience they always take time to explain stuff to me and and answer whatever questions I may have. They even took the time to build and quote multiple set ups for me (on paper). Which was very appreciated and helpful in my decision.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought an AV receiver and cables from Extreme last year during height of COVID. Was told if it didn't work for our purposes we couldn't return right away, but to hold onto everything and return at later date. When we tried to return it earlier this year, we were told quite unapologetically no. The reasons they gave us was the box had been opened, the cables were taken out of the bag, etc. Plus they were quite rude about it. Now we are stuck with $600 worth of equipment we can't use. Not impressed!
Response to their response: Yes, we were aware we dragged our feet on trying to return, but it was not our first attempt to do so. We phoned earlier in the year and told we still couldn't return. Then life got in the way for a few months. And in terms of it not being new or unused, how exactly do you try a product out without taking it out of the box or opening the packaging. No effort was made to meet us in the middle, you wouldn't even take the cables back.

The staff was so knowledgeable and walked me through exactly what I needed and shipped it out during the busy Christmas rush.
All my questions were handled professionally and pictures drawn up and mailed off for proper installation..
Can’t say enough on all the help from Ryan and the installation team.
Definitely going to deal with them in the future.
