The Auralta Skating Club was formed in 1972 and became a member of SKATE CANADA in 1975. In 2002 the club was renamed Extreme Edge Skating Club to greater reflect the clubs spirit of enthusiasm.
Our Success
We are fortunate to have some of the best skating coaches and trainers in Alberta with national and international experience. Through their guidance, Extreme Edge Skating Club has become one of the fastest growing clubs in Edmonton.

My daughter has been with them for so many sessions and they hardly go to her to correct her stance or just give her instructions on what she should actually be doing. They make all the kids play games in an "effort to look like they're teaching" but the kids really aren't being taught the technical skills. YouTube is more help than the instructors they have. Waste of money, waste of time, more of a daycare to drop off your kids for 45 min to one hour.

The coaches are amazing and always put safety and fun first, they are knowledgeable and passionate and always motivate kids to do their best. My kids come off ice with a smile on their face and excitement they have accomplished something new each day

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After watching the kids being coached by Angela, Doug, Kelly, Teddi and the rest of the coaching staff, all I can say is these are some of the best coaches around. They coach athletes from learning to skate through to competing on the national stage. They draw athletes from other clubs for specialty one-on-one sessions. It's rare to see a coaching staff like this so dedicated to excellence in their charges. I've watched a lot of these young athletes grow from learning to skate to competing and growing into phenomenal young ladies and gentlemen. Well, a lot of young ladies and 1 or 2 young gentlemen.
If you are looking for a place for your children to be challenged to do their best, grow and mature then you can't do much better than Extreme Edge.
It takes commitment, discipline and hard work but from what I see it's worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girls have been at Extreme Edge skating club for eight years, they started in the canskate program and progressed into figure skating. During this time my kids have developed skill sets that are above and beyond skating such as self discipline, responsibility, self-esteem and initiative. Extreme also fosters a safe environment in which my kids have developed friendships that extend beyond the ice and because of this they have a true sense of belonging. The coaches are skilled, caring and passionate, each one of them has made a significant impact in their lives. I would recommend this club for any of their programs, because your kids will receive so much more than better skating skills. I just wish they had an adult canskate program ?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a great skating program, my kids came just so they could learn how to skate and eventually moved into the figure skating program because they loved it so much. The coaches here are so passionate about skating you can tell they love what they do. They really put the effort in with each kid whether they want to skate competitively or just skate for fun. The atmosphere at the club has also created a group of kids that are very supportive of each other.

The club provides an environment that is disciplined and fun for the skaters. Amazing coaches. Supportive skaters. And friendly parents.
