This is a gorgeous store. Everything is beautifully arranged. Lots of yarn and fabric selection along with other needle crafts. Lots of samples up and around the store to see the products in action. A selection of kits also available. The staff is hit or miss. Sometimes super friendly/helpful and other time snobbish/standoffish. I've been numerous times - sometimes bought a lot, sometimes nothing

So I’ve only shopped here a handful of times but it’s not been a positive experience and I won’t be going back. Two stars is basically only because the space itself is quite lovely but if customer care and consistency is your vibe, this isn’t it. I’ve placed 3 online orders with them and all 3 times had an issue. They will blame long processing times on Covid and staff issues but come on , it’s been 2 years, hire some help. This aside, getting through to customer service by email is literally impossible, phone MIGHT be answered but the front of house staff has limited access to info. They recently had a huge online sale of quilting cottons and I placed 2 larger orders within an hour of each other totalling over 12 yards of fabric. After a few days they emailed me to say one of the fabrics they only had a partial cut and asked if I wanted it, I replied yes and then never heard back, I attempted to call in a day or two later to confirm but the front desk girl couldn’t tell me anything or help. Days after this I receive an email that the other of my orders was “ready” but that 2/3 fabrics I ordered weren’t included as they had run out. So I went in, hoping that this plus the other order (that they emailed about only being able to partially complete) were ready. On arrival they located the first order with the one (of three) fabric I ordered but the second with the partial cut was nowhere to be found. While I waited for them to search for it they asked if I wanted to exchange the missing fabrics, but there was hardly anything left that qualified for the discount, I ended up exchanging it in part and asking for a refund for the rest. The front staff girl convinced me to take store credit rather than money back as the amount was not very large, to which I agreed - BE AWARE THE STORE CREDIT IS NOT USABLE ONLINE, IN STORE ONLY (huge pain if you’re like me and don’t live close, and she did NOT tell me this when I agreed to it). They actually expected me to leave without my second order with the fabric MIA. I was deeply uncomfortable as many have noted they are notoriously difficult to get ahold of and I didn’t trust my order would be a priority after I left, it seems no matter how much you spend they give off a vibe that you absolutely do not matter. There is a lot of gatekeeping in the sewing community and this shop really embodies the feel. The shop girl made me feel like I didn’t have any other option but to either wait (it had already been the better part of an hour) or leave and take their word they’d refund it. I couldn’t stay so I left feeling really anxious about the incomplete situation, while waiting for my Uber I realized there was no code to use the store credit and I popped back in to ask and on realizing I couldn’t use it, I stayed to pick up some bits to use the credit up. During this time someone with more authority (blonde lady, maybe the owner?) ended up materializing and refunding my missing order after I complained. All of this to say, between their long processing times, excuses, total lack of organization and policies, there’s dozens of shops both locally and online that offer the same items as them with less stress and even shipping, probably less wait time. I wanted this place to be a gem, but sadly it’s really not.

This is a phenomenal yarn store. I wish they had more crochet yarn, but the staff encouraged me to substitute for sock yarn and I'm very happy :) tonnes of selection

Mostly a knitting store, tones of yarn. But they have some other crafting and sewing supplies as well. Somehow almost always have what I'm looking for. Plus the staff are all really kind and helpful

One of my absolute favourite Local Yarn Shops in the GTA! Gorgeous selection of fibre art goodies in store, and a very well-made website that makes online shopping a pleasant experience as well! I have also taken a knitting workshop here yesterday "Introduction to Brioche Knitting" with our wonderfully patient and skilled instructor Robbie Laughlin. It was an incredible learning experience. Robbie created a safe & comfortable learning environment for us, provided us a ton of 1:1 hands-on demo, and a plethora of helpful tips & tricks for knitting in general! I absolutely recommend it!!

EweKnit has a fantastic selection of high-quality fabric, yarns, and notions for sewers, knitters, and those who crochet and embroider. I recently took up sewing as a hobby, and at times the staff has been very helpful. Other times, however, the staff has been less helpful and borderline rude and unaccommodating. I hope they figure out their customer service issue, as it seems I am not alone in this experience based off of Google reviews. I feel the staff become overwhelmed when there is more than 1 customer in the store, as I have had great experiences when I was the only one there. I continue to shop here for Merchant & Mills and Robert Kaufman fabrics, of which they have a great selection.

Well organized yarn and craft store. Beautifully decorated, helpful employees. On the pricier side but a well curated selection. Good return/exchange policy.

Amazing selection of beautiful yarns, fibres and fabrics. Lots of Merchant and Mills patterns right now. Helpful, knowledgeable and friendly associate assisted me in making my selection. Great store - I just wish I lived closer so I could visit often!
