About Ennis Fabrics
Our Company was founded by James Ennis in 1972 knowing that there was a better way to service customers in the textiles and supplies industry. He knew there was a better way to provide customers with what they needed, when they needed it. Ennis Fabric’s first warehouse was a 2,500 sq. ft. bay in Edmonton where fabrics and supplies were distributed in just Northern Alberta. However, thanks to the continued support from our valued customers, Ennis Fabrics has become an international distributor of globally sourced textiles and supplies.
Today, we have over 9,000 products that are distributed throughout North America and globally from four extensive, full-service distribution centers in Toronto, Vancouver, and Indianapolis. Our fourth distribution center is our wholly-owned 40,000 sq. ft. quality control and consolidation warehouse in Ningbo China. The Ningbo distribution center is also capable of domestic Asian trading.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The 1 star is for lousy customer relations; I never did get to see any fabrics.. This place is wholesale only, and they sell only to upholstery companies. It's not obvious from the other reviews or their website, and they don't tell you until you're there: i called ahead to get a bit of information about fabrics, and was told I'd have to open an account with them... sure, i can do that. But then when I got there I was told (not politely, either) that I couldn't even look at any fabrics unless either I am an upholstery company with an account, or am purchasing through such a company. I couldn't believe it: they just tell customers to go away?? I guess i won't be shopping here, with or without an upholstery company as intermediary.
And maybe this review will save somebody a wasted trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We use several large fabric wholesalers with little or no issue but when trying to order 15 yds of in stock fabric it was a disaster. It took 6 phone calls and so much grief. Then 3 days later finally recieved an email showing I was overcharged on shipping as well as pst/gst when I was told we would not be. Then there were 3 more people and phone calls to try to resolve that. I wools skip this place and move on to a professional company. When I finally spoke to a manager they didn't seem to want our business. Good luck.

While we purchase mostly vinyl we have also had excellent results with the fabrics we purchase from them. I have found the customer service to be excellent, too. Sofaredo.com

After several calls to the corporate office we had to wait two weeks for a local rep to contact us. Once they deemed to finally contact us we were told we had to submit ourselves to a credit check to purchase any products. This is without a doubt the least professional vendor we have had to deal with. It is clear that this company has no use for our business.

Shipping is fast. Prices are fair. Service with Rep Olga Ngutete is super.
Any problems are dealt with in a short period of time. Communication is great.
