They are very knowledgable but i am not satified with the work done and dont feel the costs were justified in the little time i had them retained, regardless there was no way to prove how much time was actually spent there were no time stamps to verify. We did have very few phonecalls at most 3 calls and very few emails sent out on my behalf, one email was even sent out without my consent and i feel it had very little relevance to the situation as she felt threatened by the other lawyers accusations and stated that "the accusations make it personal and she would like to remind the other parties lawyer that we are supposed to be the voice of reason for our clients". Unfortunately I had to terminate their services before i could come to an agreement with the other party they did not notify me that my retainer of $2000 had depleted and continued to bill me $1440 on top of already using up my retainer and still not notifying me about this most recent cost. When asked about these costs and why i was not notified which it did state in the legal agreement that i signed that i would be notified every month and when asked about if the $1440 was a new bill they replied that it was and that they sent 3 emails from their system notifying me which i did not recieve at all nor were they in my junk mail. *Update* in response to your reply when i talked to you on the phone you did say to take a look at the most recent email and that would explain the costa unfortunately there wasnt any of the information in there. I am quite alright you will get your money but that will not help the fact that i feel like i have been scammed because everything that was done I know i could of just researched myself and composed the emails myself you basically did nothing for my case other than give me a bit of advice which didnt really help me anyway because i ended up having to settle for an agreement i am not happy about, you did not fight for my rights as a parent because i wanted my son 50% of the time and for them to not relocate which you never fought for and pretty much told me in a previous phonecall that i would need $50,000 dollars to even fight it if they happen to spend $50,000 to get a court order to relocate my son 6 hours away otherwise i would need to agree to the other parties negotiations which was not what i wanted. You will get your money but that doesnt change the fact i feel it was all a waste.

Jessica England was helpful and empathetic in dealing with my hostile ex. She helped me find the most affordable and time friendly way to deal with him. She would give me my options and and tell me what the general cost would be as well as advice about what was most cost effective. She was also able to help me calm down in times of extreme stress. Overall she did a good job and helped me navigate a difficult time in my life.

I dealt with Louise a few years ago, when she was was working at a different, bigger law firm. What a difference she made in my opinion of a family lawyer, after I fired the previous one. Louise's contact was passed on to me from someone who was an opponent in that case, and wished she represented him instead. Expensive? You bet. What lawyer isn't? But, intelligent, diligent, compassionate, resourceful, supportive, fierce and very knowledgeable. It's always more economical and less stressful to settle out of courts. Louise tried her best, but knowing my ex of 28 years I realized it was useless. On the 1st day of the trial there was an urgent matter involving children and my trial got bumped to a later date, for a few months. As I ran out of funds, retaining a lawyer wasn't an option anymore. I represented myself 2 years later, using Louise's strategies and prepared trial materials, and won the case. The judge commented later that she hasn't seen so well prepared self-represented opponents before. I still credit a part of that praise and success to Louise.
