β β β β β They say the same generic things every time. They give you some vague comments that may not even apply to your particular cover letter/resume. It seems they don't actually care if you get a job or not. They never follow up with you after the meetings, once you leave that office you're on your own especially during the crucial stages of the job hunt.

β β β β β Show that HALF-3-CNF-SAT is NP-hard by reducing it from the 3-CNF-SAT problem seen in class (CLRS
page 1082). In other words, show that 3-CNF-SAT β€ p HALF-3-CNF-SAT. To do so, given a 3-CNF formula
Ξ¦, construct a formula Ξ¦ 0 such that Ξ¦ β 3-CNF-SAT ββ Ξ¦ 0 β HALF-3-CNF-SAT. The formula Ξ¦ 0 may have
more clauses than Ξ¦.

β β β β β Only helpful if you've never written a rΓ©sumΓ© or don't know how to google... which rules out all of the engineering students.
They provide convenient location for PEY interviews if the company agrees. Otherwise completely useless.
