Dealing with the counter staff is trying, as most of them don't know or say they will get back to you and don't. If you are looking for a standard fittings or parts for appliances Emco sells they will need to order the parts and charge you for shipping for what should be stock! I can get that from the Internet!!

It was my first time in it, and I was quite impressed. Knowledgeable and friendly service, no pressure sales, and well set up with a great selection of bathroom hardware

Was told to go to EMCO by a local glass installer and pick out some doors for a new shower. He saId he called them and provided all the measurements. Went in on the afternoon of Feb 28. The door rang when I walked in, there was nobody sitting at the front desks but I heard them in the back. I sauntered around for a couple minutes and nobody came out to greet me. I then went upstairs to the bathroom showroom and started looking at glass. There was one sales rep up there helping a couple and she did not even acknowledge my precence, say hello, call another person up, etc. I walked around for another 10 minutes and then walked out. There was still nobody at the front when I left. Take 2.....I call EMCO on March 7th and ask if I need an appointment to pick out glass doors. Was told no. Went in with my wife and baby on 3/11 and was greeted by two ladies who were friendly, but said that my glass installer had not called them and that he should actually be the one purchasing the glass because he gets a discount. They gave me a card with a website to pick out my glass. I asked if I should look in the showroom to see if there is anything I like and they said sure, go on up. We left pretty much immediately. Why have a showroom if you are not going to "show" your products to people and help them decide what they need? You could have at least accompanied us upstairs to see if we had questions. Very poor experience and unmotivated sales reps with less than satisfactory customer service skills. I will be purchasing our shower doors at Home Depot as a result.

We ordered some bathroom fixtures from Emco through our plumber (who is awesome), but we won’t do that again. After we had ordered three items, we cancelled one of them, and were told it was too late and that there would be a restocking fee as it had already shipped (which is reasonable). I questioned however why the restocking fee was based on a percentage (25% of the cost) instead of a flat rate, as it seems it would cost the same to ship/restock a $400 faucet as compared to a $100 one (for example). I didn’t get an answer on that, but was told that Emco mentioned the restocking fee on the quote I got. I looked at the quote again and there was no mention of it, so I asked where it was stated. Then I didn’t get a response. So needless to say that next time I will likely order from Amazon (they had the same item for cheaper) or Home Depot. Note: The reason I’m giving two stars is that they ended up cancelling half the restocking fee, but still no response to my questioning where this 25% restocking fee policy was stated to me on the original quote (it wasn’t).

I own a revenue building in Vernon BC. I usually go through my Plumber to order from Emco. I needed a toilet tank Lid for one on the suites that was broke. Emco requested the numbers stamped on the tank. I emailed the numbers to them and was told on the phone it would take a month to get there on a stock order. I'm okay with that, as long as its coming. Well 5 months later many, many phone calls. Sending the tank numbers two more time's, its finally here. No apologies, just come and get it. If I could have ordered it online myself I would have and cut them out of the deal. Very, very poor customer service If your a plumber with and account they will take care of you. Private people are treated much different.
