★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The absolute best sandwiches in downtown Toronto. The braised beef is excellent, the meatball sub is to die for and the eggplant parmigiana sandwich is the best eggplant parm I've ever had. Portions are generous, great prices, staff are fast. Perfect place to stop for a lunch. Treat yourself!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden sandwich joint that I went from a friend's recommendation! Now I'll recommend this place to anyone who loves deli sandwiches! I had sandwiches in a lot of places in Toronto and none would come close! We tried 4 types of sandwiches and shared and all were amazing! Brilliant just brilliant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First visit was delicious! But the last two times I've been, there has been a drop off in quality. My last sandwich was very dry. I had the eggplant parm, which had barely any tomato sauce. The portions are very generous - half sandwich is huge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’d been meaning to try this gem of a sandwich place for some time and so glad I did.
We ordered the Sergio Leone and Tommy Gunn to share with side Kale Caesar.
Both sandwiches were so packed with flavour without overpowering the stars of the show - Cherry St BBQ meats.
Can’t wait to try the other menu items and also order meat a la carte! I wish the caesar salad dressing was more garlicky/lemony but the sandwiches I wouldn’t have it any other way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truly amazing sandwiches, I can’t even put into words the feeling of eating one of these. It’s like… you were meant to eat it. You feel more complete as a person after eating one of their sandwiches. A new outlook on life. These sandwiches could fix a lousy week in one or two bites. Fantastic food, great proportions and prices. Quick service, definitely a must-try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ E-L-M STREET DELI. ABSOLUTE GAS! Have you ever just walked into a sandwich shop and your like wow this ambience, this energy is kind of tingling my insides. This is it. I stumble into here just around 11am and I see the beautiful employees cooking and slicing everything from scratch. This is when I knew I was in for an absolute treat. I've reviewed some sandwich places in the city but currently Elm street deli takes the ding ding ding winner winner chicken dinner. I got the hot sando Sergio Leone - wow this was a beautiful sandwich well fitted with sauce and the bread GET OUT OF HERE. The home made garlic aoli was ugh yuhh - lil pump ouuuuu. Honestly gotta come back here to try the cold cut sando or maybe just a little touch of everything on the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent sandwiches. Classic old school spot with delicious staples. Definitely my new go to in that neighborhood. The bread for the subs is just so good, and they're massive. Enough options so there's something for everyone, but not so many that it's overwhelming. Perfect menu I'd say, and it all looks good!
