The service we received was among the friendliest and most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had. Not only were we greeted warmly by our server but the chef also came out to greet us. The food was incredibly tasty and packed with flavour!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding! I had Oxtail with rice and peas. Absolutely delicious; authentic Caribbean taste. Everyone in the group enjoyed their food, and I'm definitely going to try the fish next time! The chef popped out of the kitchen and made us feel at home. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful time celebrating an early Valentine's Day at Ellison's Bistro. I ordered the Catfish, which I'd never had before. It was melt-in-your mouth soft with just a hint of crispiness on the outside, and it was incredibly savoury with just the right level of spiciness. The wait staff were friendly, and we also had an opportunity to meet the chef, who seemed to love to make food people would enjoy. We'll definitely be going again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hidden downtown gem. This place has been around for 18 years specializing in upscale Caribbean cuisine. The restaurant is small but charming and the food is reasonably priced and very flavourful. I saw in previous reviews that the portions are small but I didn’t find that - I ordered 2 appetizers to split with my friend (pumpkin fritters and samosas) and the roti chicken entree and couldn’t finish it as it was so filling. Staff were incredibly attentive and polite. Such a great place. Highly recommend supporting this local spot!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Accidentally found this place on our way through Kitchener. Quaint place with a family feel. Chef came out several times to check in on us. Curry goat was super flavourful and tender with a nice thick gravy. Friends were super happy with their jambalaya and roti. Portions were generous and everything was home made and fresh. We'll be back next time we drive through.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited Ellison's Bistro this past Wednesday and ordered the Rack Of Lamb Port Antonio & Me Mah Oxtail. The food was delicious, the presentation was very classy, and the intimate feeling of the restaurant created a great dining experience. We had conversations with the owner/chef and head waitress throughout our meal. I've been looking for some good Caribbean food in Kitchener and I'm glad I finally found Ellison's Bistro. I would highly recommended a visit to them and will be returning again soon.
