This is a great hiking spot for family, the initial hike has elevations and it's completely normal to take break for folks who have not hiked before. The later part of the hike is beautiful the lake is amazing and it also has a campsite. There are other hikes around the lake, the fall is nice for family. The glacier hike is good in summer .

This is one of the most picturesque and easily accessible spots in Kananaskis country. It takes a bit longer to drive to than most places from either northern or southern routes, but the hike up to the lake is short. The terrain is steep but very doable at one's own pace, and the reward is instant upon arrival. At the lake one can fish, paddle, swim, picnic, walk around, and the place is a gateway for other excellent hikes for those seeking a longer expedition. I've never camped at Elbow Lake but I see the campground is well maintained and is an ideal place. I've made a mental note to plan camping there soon.

Beautiful hike . . . First 10 minutes a bit of a grind but the rest, even to the falls, a very easy hike. Very windy at times.

This is a great hike! At first the slope is steep but as you move along the hike/ trail it gets better.

Great family hike. Pretty steep for the first 1.4km until you reach the lake, but flat afterwards. We continued another ~3.5km to check out Edworthy falls. Falls were nice, but it is a very steep drop to get to the bottom of the falls where you can sit and relax.

Awesome place for a hike. Parking could be tricky but you can always park on the side of the road. The beginning of the hike might be tough for some people, but it's only for about 1.5 Km, after that it gets mostly flat, very easy and it's beautiful. I saw a lot of people camping. Lots of people coming and going. It is a very active place for sure. Totally recomend it.

Great short hike up a gradual incline that levels off. It’s 1.3km from the parking lot . Be sure to arrive early or late afternoon as parking will be an issue. Washrooms are available. Great hike for the entire family. A few bench areas for resting. Takes about 20-30mins for most people but you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views of the Elbow Lake. On your right will be the 15 campground site that has bear lockers and washroom. Most times firewood is available for your overnight camping. Be sure to check the fire ban and prebook your site. Nice to take a stroll around Elbow Lake or pack a lunch for an awesome picnic. Fishing is allowed, bring your gear and license. Nice short hike with rewarding views. Allow 1.5-2hrs visit.

A 9.85 kilometre moderate to easy hike which took us about more than 4 hours going back and forth. The initial walk about 1.3 kilometres hike was mostly uphill until we reached the scenic Elbow Lake. A few kilometres later, we then reached the Edworthy Falls - a small falls but still worth the trip. Along the path, there is even a very nice place where you can take a break with a very nice view, as well as a small falls (which has a very relaxing effect). This is normally a busy place so I would recommend you come early because the parking lots easily gets full.
