EDMONTON ACROBATIC GYMNASTICS
Located in the Millwoods Area of Alberta’s Capital City of Edmonton, Edmonton Acrobatic Gymnastics was the first Acrobatic Gymnastics Club to offer sports acrobatics programs in Northern Alberta. Our coaches have a unique style focusing on the athlete and love of the sport to inspire athletes to greatness. We are a family operated club with the coaching team made of primarily of parents just like you. Our role as club operators also gives us a unique perspective and flexibility in programming not available in most environments.
WHAT IS ACROBATIC GYMNASTICS?
Acrobatic gymnastics (also called sport acrobatics) is a competitive gymnastic discipline where partnerships of gymnasts work together and perform figures consisting of acrobatic moves, dance and tumbling, set to music. There are three types of routines; a ‘balance’ routine where the focus is on strength, poise and flexibility; a ‘dynamic’ routine which includes throws, somersaults and catches, and (at FIG level 6 and above) a ‘combined’ routine which includes elements from both balance and dynamic.
