Customer service and experience deserves a 0 and the rating reflects that. It deserves a 4 for location, size of the gym, the setup, and the equipment. It's a great gym and I do enjoy it, it's definitely not a 5 because the biggest dumbbells are 75lbs and there aren't enough of certain things like squat racks, but it's a very good setup. The customer service on the other hand is unacceptable. Yes, you get a hello every time you come in but that's about it. Staff are constantly on their phones, the manager doesn't seem to have set standards for the team to adhere to, and overall I think from an experience standpoint the gym is suffering from this because it could be a 4-4.5 gym. The bathrooms are regularly disgusting (I go at 830am so this isn't because it's the end of the day), the floors in the gym look as if they're rarely cleaned, weights are constantly in the wrong spot and team members don't seem to put effort into this, the rules around masks aren't fully enforced as I've seen dozens of occasions where a team member will walk by someone on a bench without a mask and not say anything, they don't enforce putting away of weights and washing of equipment and last week I even saw a female team member working out off shift and she used several pieces of equipment all without putting her weights away or wiping down after use of them. I think this gym is great overall but the customer service and experience is seriously lacking.

One of the worst gyms I’ve gone too. If you don’t have a towel the staff will chase you down. Too many rules for a gym that costs $10.00. wanted me to walk barefoot because I didn’t bring indoor shoes even though ive been wearing the exact same shoes everyday and it hasn’t even snowed. The rules don’t make sense for what they have to offer. Arvin the manager and the staff have poor attitudes when people walk in. Staff constantly on the phone. I’ve never felt so denied at a gym like this one. Definitely cancelled my membership. Very poor experience.

This gym makes an excellent spot for training. The option for 24h access to the facility is very convient, especially for difficult schedules. The range of equipment more than covers the needs for standard weightlifting or cardio training. There is a lot of breathing space, though the location can get busy at certain times of day. I've found with morning trainings there is rarely ever a wait time for a given machine. To top it off, the large windows at this location flood the gym with bright natural lighting. The staff is consistently friendly too

Perfect for what u need in a gym for under $30 a month. Staff are always friendly It's nice to see that they are starting to interact with members again.

Worst customer service starting from Manager. Why is it mandatory to have a second pair of shoes when the one that you are wearing are completely clean? I took a Uber to came to gym on time and manager said that I need extra shoes when I just step out of a Uber? How this does make sense? I even offered to “clean” my shoes in the washroom and manager refused to it. I came back with a second pair of shoes and they asked to open my bag to verify? To check my personal bag and personal belongings? What kind of management is this? Personally, manager has that sort of attitude that really? How this person can be in this position! Is it worth it to complain when he is “the manager”

Great gym with no frills. Has everything you need to do you own workout. Plenty of cardio equipment (treadmills, ellipticals and stair masters) and all the weight machines and weights equipment you could want. I do try to go during off peak times cause I prefer it less busy and to not have to wait for equipment.

The price of the membership at Éconofitness might be very good and this gym well located, but this specific location has a massive problem: it’s manager. He enforces his own rules that aren’t mandated by the direction of Éconofitness (AKA different rules from what is explicitly written in Éconofitness’ website), and applies other rules in an unreasonable manner. Just to give a few examples : (1) Employees have asked me many times to open my bag to prove i have a towel with me (i always do). So much for trusting your whole clientele… (2) since the gyms have opened during the pandemic, wearing of the mask has been enforced, even when doing sets on a machine with no one around (this is the only Éconofitness location that refuses its client to remove their mask in these situations, and this rule isn’t what is specified as the applicable rule on Éconofitness’ website). The only exception when you can remove your mask is on cardio machines, and the second you step off, employees acting like guard dogs will urge you to put your mask on. (3) This location applies very strictly (and quite unreasonably/illogically) the rule according to which you need to have a second pair of shoes during winter (dates range from mid-Fall to mid-Spring). Although it makes sense to enforce this rule when there is snow and it’s wet and disgusting outside due to the melt of the snow (the objective of this rule is to keep the gym clean after all), enforcing strictly the dates defeats the purpose before there’s snow in the Fall, and when it’s dry in the Spring. It makes no sense to apply it so strictly and no other location does it this way. Note that employees will ask for proof that you have a 2nd pair of shoes to let you in (even when it means to open your bag to show them). The manner in which this gym is managed and the way clients are treated is unacceptable and makes going to this Éconofitness location a bad experience overall. I recommend working out at Éconofitness, but I strongly suggest to avoid this location.
