Update 2: Niagara sent my wife a text asking us to remove our bad review, then she called me and said we reached an agreement that you don't pay the 2 classes then you should remove your negative review, I said no that's my right and everything written is true and happened, she said your are ruining our reputation and we are a good school!!!! Then she accused me that I'm playing dirty games !! And added if you will not remove the review, then pay the 2 classes, I replied I will pay it and leave the review, and I paid it next day when she sent me our contract that we blindly signed 3 years ago( our fault ). Update: the school accountat ( owner's daughter called us and spent 1.5 hour over the phone to explain their rational and giving an excuse ( not apologizing) for her mother's attitude toward my wife, at that point I can try to swallow the possibility of a good intention, then when we said that we are not comfortable to continue at this school she said you have to send your daughter for the next 2 weeks as per your contract ( and she tried to convince us that this is good for our daugher not to stop abruptly ) I said no, I am not comfortable to send her anymore ( specially last time the secretary kept my daughter outside the class and didn't let her in for 10 minutes untill she called my wife to check if we will pay for the debatable amount or not !!! ) then Niagra (owner's daughter ) said if you aren't going to send her for 2 weeks you have to pay for them as per contract ( she revealed the main reason for the call ) so I said no, your mother almost kicked us out after 3 years so why I pay!!,she said because of your contract, I said I don't remember signing that but if you found it send it to me and I will pay, then she said ok I don't want to pay it's ok no problem and we ended the call First of all this review is for the school itself and management not the teachers Before writing about my experience with this school I took a look at the other reviews andnit seems my experience nearly the same All what they care about is your money My daughter has been there for 3 years, before COVID-19 it was tolerable but since last year things got worse Basically they wanted to increase their prices in indirect way so they came out with the idea of a flat rate monthly fee rather than per class fee, which is ridiculous since the chance of getting 5 classes per month rather than 4 is only 2 or 3 months per year depending on which day of the week is the class Moreover, they wanted us to pay for Christmas vacation that they were closed and when you argue with them they try to embarss you by saying everyone else is paying without objection!!! As if it's normal to pay for their vacation Needles to say they always say make up classes are not guaranteed, regardless the reason for example my daughter had to self isolate waiting for COVID-19 test result for 3 occasions during the last year, they never offered us a make up class or credit or even showed any kind of care to give you the service you've paid for, they don't care about anything other than money Yesterday, the owner told my wife that she doesn't have time to talk or argue with her and she can go elsewhere!! That's the way the owner is managing the school and dealing with parents But we were glad that she said so as we found other music schools that don't have that ridiculous policies

I taught music here for several years and would not recommend it. Also the administration never did a background check on me, or asked to see my diploma, unlike what they claim in the response to one of the other reviews. EDIT (2022-03-10) Some time after I posted this review in 2020, someone from the school contacted/harassed me through facebook. They told me that I had lied about teaching at the school and urged me to take this review down. I think that this person knew, deep down, that I was not lying; had they truly believed I was some random person making false claims, surely they wouldn't have thought there was any point in asking me to take it down? It was, as the kids say, "a lot."

A great music school. They have a lot of teachers and very good hours, even for people who are very busy. My violin teacher is phenomenal and very talented! I have learned a lot and she is very patient with me. The secretary is also very friendly and helpful. She always greets me with a smile and helps to makes it a nice place to learn.

if I think about a music school where I would like to subscribe my son, I choose this school right away. It offers high quality and professional courses, it is the ideal school where you can really learn music. The kids learns while having fun and experimenting, the staff is qualified and very kind. Teachers are treated professionally and is the ideal workplace. The school offers spaces and classrooms equipped with everything necessary. if you need something, they are always ready to help you. What anything else? I'm really grateful to this school that it's giving me the chance to grow as a teacher and as a person. Thank you !

My two girls have been taking piano lessons with a teacher for some years, and when COVID happened, our teacher has decided not to teach anymore. My kids were very sad, and we were looking for a good school to continue. EQM is very far from us, so we decided to take online classes here. We were paired with an excellent teacher whom my kids had an instant connection to. I was skeptical about the efficiency of online music lessons, but happy to say that they are the next best thing! Thank you so much for allowing me to hear my girls play and enjoy piano again!

I have been a teacher at this school for 6 years, and my children are studying in this school. I can say with confidence that EQM successfully implements its main task, which is professional, competent, and the most complete musical and aesthetic education of their students. The teaching staff is qualified specialists with professional education. Curriculum and educational plans are flexible and meet any requirement and abilities for all the students: from a music enthusiast to those wishing to learn according to strict classical program and take exams at the RCM. Teachers use the most advanced educational techniques of Canada, USA, Russia, France, Germany, England, etc. and offer the student the most suitable methods. The end of each year school hosts a big concert. Which is always flawlessly organized and held in the large concert hall, where parents and family can come and see their children perform. In addition, the administration organizes annual competitions within the walls of the school, in which every student can take part. Based on the results of the competition, participants receive certificates and awards. The best performing students are awarded with cash prizes that they can redeem for future education at the school. Concerts and competitions are a strong stimulus in learning, which maintains interest and students' commitment to music education. Administration and teachers keep close contact with students’ parents and family, which provides a valuable and instant feedback from both sides, and increases interest and participation of students. Each classroom is equipped with excellent music instruments and the school has a very large store of educative materials, which facilitates the work of teachers and brings the education to a professional level. Scheduling of courses is flexible enough to accommodate student’s availabilities, which demonstrates good management and structure of the educational process. The school has well managed financial policy: accounting, tuition fees and makeup classes are all taken into consideration, there are no unresolved questions. The school administration is doing its best to create a favourable environment for the team while maintaining a high professional level.

I have been attending this school for over 7 years and I have had amazing teachers. The staff was always accomodating with me. I would only trust this school for my music education. As per the pricing policy, it was clearly communicated to me and makes total sense. I loved my teachers over the years, best school.

My kids have been taking lessons at this school for the better part of seven years (violin and piano), and we are very happy with the quality of the instruction. The teachers truly care about the children's enthusiasm as well as their progress. Communication is easy, and interaction with all staff members I have known over the years has been very professional. Elena is an amazing piano teacher, gentle yet disciplined, and Julia has inspired my daughter to truly love playing the violin. Since the school is quite far from where we live, years ago we tried switching to a teacher who was closer to us in downtown Montreal. My kids' interest and progress faltered, so we returned and have never looked back.
