★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ecofitt was subcontracted for my Ecobee thermostat installation for the Ontario GreenOn program. They aborted halfway through suggesting that our wiring was nonstandard. (It is a 1999 home.) After asking, I found out that the technician had seen several homes wired like mine but refused service to those homeowners as well - he admitted he was new and not sufficiently experienced to do the job for this type of wiring. Objectively, Ecofitt sent an employee underqualified for the job, meaning I lost my opportunity for a smart thermostat due to Ecofitt hiring and sending unqualified employees for the job. I first emailed Ecofitt for a response to this complaint twice, and they have emailed back zero times, so I am posting this review to warn you of this lack of accountability and customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a scheduled appointment and we made arrangements to stay home that night for the installer to show up. He was a no show. There wasn't even a phone call to let us know he wasn't going to make it. Amateur run outfit. If they were run by business minded people this wouldn't have happened. Of course being funded by taxpayer $$ , they aren't measured or paid for performance. They probably still get paid even if they don't show up to do the work. I blame Rachel notley.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Started working for the company in February as a thermostat technician (Calgary base).
The office is completely disorganized. For the month I worked there I installed 21 thermostats. You should be able to install anywhere from 5-7 of those a day. The lack of answers, communication and genuine compassion towards keeping their technicians busy was extremely frustrating. WILL NOT WORK FOR THEM AGAIN.
Despite that the staff is pretty friendly.
