Absolutely horrendous and unprofessional attitude from the supposedly manager on site. He looked at my truck and right away told me that I need to go somewhere for my styrofoam, because I am bringing COMMERCIAL waste. I had all the proof and receipts ready to show him the recent purchases we had made and the renovations, he didn't even bother listening to me. All he kept repeating is that he "knows" this is commercial waste. He was blunt enough to say that I was wasting my time speaking to him. At the end, I asked for his name three times, each time he just replied "Je ne veux pas te le donner". That's what I'm paying my taxes for, bravo champion.

Even in normal circumstances, the staff are hit and miss. Some are friendly others total poison. Last time I went, there was no staff at the reception desk, the barrier was up and no sign saying " Hey buddy, I'll be back in a few minutes". So then, I've proceeded to enter it since there's no indication of what to do. Then this guy pooped up from gods no where asking me to go back out. Clear signage would help not gibberish written in font 12.

I visited the Écocentre St-Laurent in January 2021 only to waste my time, car gas and to come back with all the items I wanted to get rid of because there was no employee to assist me on the site. There was only an employee to verify whether I am a resident in VSL area on my driver's license. I then reached out to the Écocentre St-Laurent to let them know how disappointing my visit was and they came back to me in early July only after I reminded the team that I am still waiting for an answer. The team acknowledged that there should have been an employee on site to assist but I don't know when this will be in place. This team needs to do more work to promote what an ecocentre is useful for. The site is just confusing with numbers and I am unsure if I was supposed to throw away items from the cliff. Where are the employees supposed to assist residents visiting them on site?? Very disappointing.

Located at the end of Felix Leclerc Street, North of Henry Broussard Boulevard, this ecocenter accepts almost everything you want to dump off, but can't be collected by the city at your door, fridge, stove, dishwasher, big electric appliances, construction materials, wood products, glass, paint, old electronics, etc., you have to be Montreal residents, and you are allowed to dump 12 cubic meters materials each year, at the entrance, they ask for driver's license, and put your info into their computer, this cost a few minutes to do, then they check your stuff, and telling you where to drop, there are more than a dozen containers ( located underneath the ground, be cautious)for different kind of materials, and a yellow garage for big appliances. It looks small. On Saturday, there are 30 minutes waiting.

Well organised, clean site for disposing of waste & unneeded items in an environmentally responsible way. Would be great if they mark the bins for each type of waste material using larger, clearer signs - pictures might be a good way. Convenient opening hours - but check the website to be sure.

So easy to get to, staff and organization. A1. My goto place when I need to dispose of just about anything. Kudos Montreal.

Terrible service, and Rude.... refused entry because they claimed my vehicle + trailer exceeded maximum length of 11m (36') according to their marking painted on pavement. When I disputed their claim and measured the length in on the spot, showing that my vehicle was 35' 10" showing that markings are WRONG. They disregarded this and said they are required to follow marking guidelines on the pavement, as they are done professionally and do not make mistakes....
