For anyone interested in getting their firearm licence I highly recommend doing the EatWild Canadian Firearms Safety Course with Rob. It is an intimidating subject but Rob goes to great lengths to make everyone feel comfortable and competent. He knows his stuff and is very accessible. If you want to learn from someone who truly cares about the land then this is the firearms training course for you.

Eat wild provided the training and education that moved my 2 sons and I from gun owners to ethical hunters. They provided not just the PAL and CORE training but the generational hunter skills training needed for calling, tracking, finding and hunting of various animals. I would highly recommend them

Eat Wild ran a great firearms safety course. Booking and communication was straightforward and clear. The instructor Rob Wilson was great and very knowledgeable. The company emphasizes inclusivity and community, as well as training people to not only be safe gun owners and users, but responsible and conscientious hunters. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience with their firearms course.

I did the CFSC with Rob and i have to say he was nothing but professional and engaging. Our class of 12 were all beginners with little experience and he was more than welcoming to everyone there. It was great to see a mixed class of people. The eatwild team really want to help expand the community and share there knowledge with absolutely anyone. Highly reccomend.

I took the online C.O.R.E. Online British Columbia Hunter Safety Course. The course goes beyond just preparing you to write the test (which is does very well). You can tell from the start that EatWild isn't just looking to get a certificate in your hand, then send you on your way. They do everything they can to prepare you to actually hunt, to do it well, and to enjoy it. When the instructors give practical tips, discuss the realities of success (or coming home empty), or the feelings that are experienced in the field, they are clear, helpful, and always positive. Highly recommended for new hunters, returning hunters, or the many of us that have come from out of province. Even if you qualify to get a F.W.I.D. through other certification, there is real value here in learning about the unique hunting challenges, opportunities and legislation in British Columbia.

Fantastic training from Rob. Highly recommended for anyone looking to join the hunting community coming from any background or (no) experience level. Rob was very committed to breaking down any barriers that may seperate hunters from non-hunters and sharing an inclusive, conservation-focused, ethical ethos in all of his lessons. I really appreciated the balance between serious attention to safety, entertaining real-world examples, and maintaining an overall direction towards techniques that ensure sustainable wild harvest. Top-notch education, and an excellent value! 10 out of 10

I completed the CFSC with Rob and had a very pleasant experience. Rob is a great teacher, who is passionate about what he does. He has a great way of explaining things, both practically and visually, which helped all his students. I can highly recommend EatWild, as they promote, not only firearm safety, but also good ethics, mutual respect and a passion for what they do.

I attended a couple events in the spring foraging series by EatWild this month and had a great time! Dylan and Jodi are wonderful, thoughtful hosts who centre their teachings around connection to nature and building community. The workshop and virtual cooking class were so informative and a fun time all around. I found the content really approachable as a total beginner and I've learned some new cooking and foraging skills that I can't wait to build on :)
